    Battle of Kashyyyk

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Box/Instructions:

Comes in small box. The dimensions of the box are 7.5 x 5.6 x 1.8 inches and weighs 0.26 pounds. Has a small instruction booklet.

    Parts:

You don't really have any cool or unique pieces. The maroon pieces are really nice to get. The total piece count is 99.

    Minifigures:

    Kashyyyk Clone Troopers:

These are some of my favorite clone troopers. The phase II Kashyyyk troopers are very well done. The detail on the helmets, torso and legs are great. The green in the visor is really nice. The armor on the torso is spot on and the printing on the legs is nice as well. I just hate the stud shooters they gave them. I wished they just would have given them a rifle or blaster liked they use to.

    Kashyyyk Scout Troopers:

These Scout Troopers are decent. I am not a fan of their helmets. I prefer the older molds used in sets 7913 and 9488. The new molds aren't bad but I prefer the old ones. The detail on the helmet isn't bad and green on the visor is nice addition to the helmet. Their armor on the torso is really well done and the printing on the legs is also very good as well. Again I just hate the stud shooters given to them, and that they would have given them a rifle or blaster they used to use.

    The Build:

The build was quick and easy and took less than 10 minutes to build.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is great battle pack. The speeder is decent. I do wish they gave some sort of cannons or weapons on it (And I don't mean equipping the stud shooters on the front of it). The figures are great. My only problem is that I prefer the old scout trooper helmets to the new ones. Other than that these are great figures. I really like these Kashyyyk Clone Troopers and wish they would do more sets with them in it. I highly recommend getting this set. It is a great army builder. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

    Great Minifigures!

Written by (TFOL , gold-rated reviewer) in Australia,

The Battle of Kashyyyk is a great moment in the Prequel Trilogy, and has spawned some fantastic Lego sets. Battle packs are a great cheap way to build armies, and this set comes with two of each trooper. The Swamp Speeder can be seen briefly in the battle and is a nice inclusion.

    The Minifigures

41st Elite Corps Troopers: The helmet design on these troopers is superb; with excellent moulding and great printing on the camouflage and visors. Their face print is the Angry Clone expression. The torso prints on the front and back are also very well detailed featuring pouches, and their legs show shin pads. The figures in this set come with stud shooters which I dislike as they do not align with the movies.

Kashyyyk Clone Troopers: These figures sport the phase two clone trooper helmet which looks great. The helmet prints are as detailed as the Corps troopers, and their torso prints are more heavily armoured than the others. I prefer the leg print on these figures as it continues the camo detail, and flows with the rest of the body. These Minifigures also carry stud shooters.

    The Set

Most Lego Star Wars battle packs sadly come with small side builds that aren’t in the Star Wars universe. In this case however, we get a “real” vehicle which I appreciate. The Swamp Speeder is very movie accurate and makes good use of its few parts. Front panels can be angled down to give easy access to the two pilots. I like the rear of the speeder as it has a propeller that can be angled back and forth, to show which way the vehicle is propelled. The dark red and light grey colour scheme is attractive. At the front of the Speeder there is a place to put the pilots blasters. Smooth 2x2 domes underneath the vehicle let it glide easily when you push it.

The focus of Battle packs is always on the figures and the Kashyyyk troopers look great. The build doesn’t disappoint either and makes this a fantastic set. $23 aud is the average price for a battle pack and in this case I think its well worth it

    Execute Order 75035

    Written by (TFOL) in Netherlands,

This is, in my opinion, not just a great battlepack, it's a great set.
The minifigures are great, new and (mostly) exclusive and the side build makes for
a pretty iconic and swooshable vehicle. The fact that you can fit two minifigures inside it is also a big plus.

One downside is those ugly looking studshooters. Luckily two of them can fit on the vehicle.

Most people buy battlepacks for the great minfigures but here it also contains a great build.
I would highly recommend this set even if you don't care about the minifigures!

    Great for Army Building!

Written by (KFOL , gold-rated reviewer) in United States,

While this set is not the best when it comes to price per piece, you will not regret picking this up, especially since you get two exclusive figures!

    Box/Instructions

The box is the new 2014 battle pack size. The front shows the Kashyyyk troopers showing off and shooting at nothing in particular. The back shows the features of the swamp speeder, as well as a few cinematic shots and the 'blueprints' that have been on recent Star Wars sets. The instruction manual comes folded in half and is rather small. I had no problems following the steps and there were no errors.

    Parts

Most of the parts included are fairly common, but there are some newer pieces including: the R5 style droid dome, the new blasters, and the clips that hold on the blasters when the clones are seated.

    Minifigures

This set includes two 41st Elite troopers. These two are an update on the figure included with the original Clone Turbo Tank and have amazingly detailed camoflauge printing. I was really impressed by the white splotches that were put on the helmets. It is this little attention to detail that really makes me love these figures. The other two figures are the 'Kashyyyk clones', which LEGO has made up for the sake of variety. Nevertheless, they still look great alongside their 'real' bretheren, and share the same attention to detail. All four clones share the face introduced a while back.

    The build

Building this set takes about 10 minutes, because a lot of the part count is eaten up by the figures and extra blaster bolts. There was nothing particularly challenging about the build, even though some Technic is used.

    The completed model

The completed speeder looks great on its own or with other clone vehicles. The clones are easily seated at the controls, and the blasters always fire. I recommend using this set alongside 8091 for the most action.

    Overall opinion

Overall, this set has great minifigs and a fun speeder, but it is more for prequel fans. Adding more of the new Kashyyyk sets only increases the fun.
