One of the Best CMS Figures from this Wave!

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

In my opinion, this is the second best CMS figure in this wave behind the Classic Police Officer. The parts and detail on it make this such a high quality CMS figure in this wave.

    Box/Instructions:

This set comes in a normal CMS bag with normal CMS instructions.

    Parts:

You only get one part besides the minifigure parts, an orange 2x4 CMS stand (I liked getting a different color stand). Other than that it is the only piece that isn't a minifigure part. Overall (including minifigure parts) you get some really good parts in this set.

    Minifigure:

    Dragon Suit Guy:

This is the second best figure you can get in this CMS wave (Behind the Classic Police Officer). The Dragon head is amazing. The black printing of the dragon scales look amazing and the two small black spikes as horns really compliment it. The open mouth showing the teeth (and the guys head) really look great. The guy has a double-sided head. On one side he has an angry facial expression with some freckles. On the other side he is smiling with again some freckles. You get a set of red dragons. You don't have any printing. I do wish you got some sort of black printing on it so it would match the rest of the figure. He has printing on one side of his torso and on parts of his arms. On the front of the torso you have a yellow-orange front armor scale with a few patches of black scales. On the back it is just plain red torso. On the shoulders of the arms you a patch of black scales which is really nice to get. You get the dragon tail with black spikes coming up along the entire tail. The legs only have printing of six claws (three on each foot) as the only printing on the legs. The figure comes with no weapon or accessory.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is the second best CMS figure in this wave. The parts you get such as the wings, tail, and head of the dragon are amazing to get and add great detail to this figure. The printing on all the parts is great and black works really well with the red. I would have liked some sort of weapon of accessory of some kind (but it is still an amazing CMS figure without any). I highly recommend this CMS to any Lego fan/collector as it will make a great addition to anyones Lego collection. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

    Neville Longbottom

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Box/Instructions:

This set comes in a normal CMS bag with normal CMS instruction.

    Parts:

Besides the minifigure parts you get a dark orange pot, a green three leaf plant stem, a mandrake, a dark brown wand, and of course you get the 2x4 black CMS stand. The mandrake is a really great part to get. The printing of the face on it is really good and makes it such a great piece to get. Overall some really good parts for a CMS figure.

    Minifigure:

    Neville Longbottom:

Getting a young version of Neville is really nice to get. The mandrake in the pot really works and complement this figure really well. He has a nice and unique hair piece. He has dark brown hair with tan ear coverings. He has a double-sided head (Finally!! One of the rare few in this CMS series with a double-sided head). On the front you have a neutral expression showing his two front teeth. It is borderline between neutral and slightly confused. On the other side his eyes are closed as he listens to the mandrake high pitch sound (great use of the double-sided head). He has printing on both sides of his torso. On the front he has a tan jacket with a collar and a pocket on the left side of the jacket. At the very top you have his white button up shirt with the top of his Gryffindor color tie. He has black small bendy legs and is armed with his dark brown wand.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is a nice and well-rounded CMS figure. While he wasn't a figure I was specifically looking for, I was very glad I got him. He is definitely one of the better figures out of this CMS wave (while not highly sought after). The parts are great with cool new mandrake piece with the pot and three leaf stem. The cool hair piece is great and works extremely well with Neville. I was so happy he got a double-sided head as most in this CMS wave don't have one. The printing on the body is pretty simple but works well. I highly recommend this CMS figure to any CMS or Harry Potter fan/collector. It will also make a nice addition if you aren't into either of them as well. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

    Stealthy Swamp Airboat

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Box/Instructions:

This set comes in a polybag with the normal polybag size instructions.

    Parts:

You get some very nice parts in this set. You get two gold ninja swords, two 1x2 black mounted stud shooters (Yes I actually like this piece), one black three bladed propeller, two black jet engines, two black cones with a handle, one dark grey large dish, and a 1x2 dark grey roof tile with printing of a control panel. As just mentioned you get one printed piece. The total piece count for the set is 38.

    Minifigure:

    Cole:

So you get Cole in his Hands of Time form. He has his normal (slightly messy) black hair with a double-sided head. On one side you have a somewhat angry expression with a green curved thing (Don't know what it is) on the left side of his forehead. On the other side he has a smile on his face. He has a black ninja mask and printing on both sides of his torso. On the front you have grey/silver armor with the Earth symbol on it covered by black and brown robes with some brown rope going across the entire torso. On the back you have the black and brown robes with a circle with some symbol or letter in some Ninjago writing (I assume). You have some rope tied to a belt on the back as well. You also have printing on the legs as well. You have the robes from the torso continuing on down onto the legs with some rope/string wrapped around the knee area. Cole has no weapon or accessories.

    The Build:

The build was quick and easy. It took me a few minutes to build.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is a really nice polybag. The airboat itself is really nice and looks great. It has the black three bladed propeller and the large grey dish on the back with the two black jet engines that all look great. The control panel looks really good and is a nice piece to get in this set. You have two stud shooters with orange studs as the only weapons on the airboat. You get two lights on the front which add a nice look to it. Getting this version of Cole is nice as it is a newer (at the time) version of him. Getting him with a double-sided head is nice (especially in a polybag). I highly recommend getting this set if you are a fan or collector of Ninjago. If you aren't this will still make a nice addition to your Lego collection. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Box/Instructions:

This set comes in a normal CMS bag with normal CMS instructions.

    Parts:

Besides the minifigure parts you get a white cup, a small white plate with printing on it. The printing is of a pattern which looks to be a circle of flowers which are a color mix of orange and green. She has a dark brown wand and of course you get the 2x4 black CMS stand.

    Minifigure:

    Professor Sybill Trelawney:

This is a well done CMS figure. This is probably, potentially one of the better CMS figures from this wave. She has a new hair piece with her cloth thing (I don't know what it is called) over her forehead with her long wave/crazy tan blonde hair. She has a single sided head. She has her big round glass with a slight smile with a few wrinkles around her mouth. She has printing on only the front of her torso. She has a lighter green with light brown/tan mix of weird patterns as her outer shirt. She has 3 buttons along with a white necklace with a variety of odd items on it as well as two brown drawstrings hanging down as well. She has the 2x2 new brick leg piece with printing on it. It has the of the lighter green shirt with three buttons before it stops and you get the dress under it. The dress under it contains a top dark tan line then you a have wider dark green with a unique pattern and at the bottom you have a yellow line. She has both the white cup with the plate and a dark brown wand as accessories.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is one of the better CMS figures from this wave. The pieces are great as they are new/unique to get. The white cup with white plate with the printing are great to get and work well with this CMS figure. The hair piece and new brick leg piece are great minifigure parts to get and look and work very well with this minifigure. The head is nice, but I do wish they would have given her a double-sided head (Like most in this series, most do not have a double-sided head which is disappointing). The printing on her torso and legs are fantastic and looks great. I highly recommend getting this CMS figure as it will be a nice addition to anyones Lego collection. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.

    Ninja Training

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Box/Instructions:

This set comes in a polybag with smaller than normal size instructions.

    Parts:

You get a few nice parts in this set. You get four black ninja swords, a white 2x4 slope brick, and the two green plates for the base. The total piece count for the set is 32. Overall a decent piece haul for a polybag.

    Minifigure:

    Jay:

You get the original version of Jay. He has the blue ninja hood with the clip on the back where you can (in this case) put the brown staff. He has his normal head with a neutral expression and split in the middle of his right eyebrow. He has printing on the front side of his torso. On the front you have the blue ninja robes covered by brown rope converging from 5 different directions at a gold Lightning logo. He has printing on his legs of a blue cloth belt with the tied ends hanging down from the torso and onto the legs. He is armed with a brown staff.

    The Build:

The build was quick and easy. It took me a few minutes to build.

    Overall Opinion:

Overall this is a nice polybag from Ninjago. The skeleton training dummy looks really nice. The four black ninja swords spin in a circle and provides a nice play feature for the set. The top of the dummy can move 90 degrees to change the height of it. Jay is a nice figure to get and at the time a nice cheap way to get Jay. I highly recommend this set to any Ninjago fan/collector. This will also make a nice addition to anyones Lego collection. Overall I'm giving it a 5-star rating.
