    A great mech

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

This mech grabbed my attention when it was first revealed. The blue and white colour scheme with its slender design stood out to me.

The mech stands at a good height and has good shaping on the limbs. It is poseable with lots of joints (including knees), although ankles and elbows are somewhat limited. The feet do look like trainers to me. The cannons on the shoulder are the newer design and fire decently far, and the head is an interesting construction with the braid down the back. It carries 3 swords, which fit securely into the hands. While the two katanas are neat, the giant sword is a standout and allows for some wacky poses. The torso has an interesting angle in it, and the entire set was a fun build.

The minifigures are a decent selection, with Jay, Nya and three bone soldiers. None of these minifigures are exclusive but are all high quality, except for the face prints on the bone soldiers which are a bit translucent. The set also contains a Pixal bot, which is half a minifigure. It works well, and follows the precedent of the Ultra combo mech. The villains have a crossbow, which works surprisingly well.

The set would work well as a parts pack, with lots of blue bricks. Stickers are used well, but all but one are in pairs.

Overall I would highly recommend this set to almost anyone, especially if you like some of the recent larger mechs the theme has produced.
