    Cute unicorn relic

    Building experience:

Nothing special, as you basically put together the stand, connect it to the container, and build a mosaic at the back with the dots included.

I saw people creating fish tanks or wind shields from the container, but you would need extra parts for that modification.

    Playability:

As the app that would go with it is no longer supported, that part of the playability is lost, and the tiles are kind of pointless. I might use them as posters in MOCs. You can still play with it like a normal minifigure.

For me, the main selling point was the unicorn. It has silver details on the torso and legs, as well as prints on the arms.

I do not like the purple part of the storage box for the extra beat bits, as the mosaic parts usually fall off while you try to open it, and I just don't want to modify it to be more modular.

Overall, this set is not for everybody, but I would be happy to get more animal minifigures with such details on them as this one. I got mine on sale, so I am happy with my purchase despite the shortcomings of this retired set.

    Just wasn't for me...

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

I was initially excited by the Vidyo series and all of the colourful minifigures featured with it.

$19.99 for this set just doesn't feel worth it. Now maybe if I had done the interactive of the music videos with this, that would be a different story.

In the end, this is a glorified collectible minifigure with it's own special case and storage space behind to store all the 2x2 tile pieces for the various songs and singles.

Building the Container Base and the back was somewhat fun. That's a good unicorn design and use of the pieces.

The Unicorn minifigure is what drew me to buy this set in the first place.

In the long run, this just feels lackluster. and not for me.
