My doctor stranges interdimensional portal set review.

Written by (TFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in Canada,

This is my set review for Doctor Strange's interdimensional portal for $5.99 Canadian it is pretty good being as you get the portal pieces and the Doctor Strange minifigure for pretty cheap I like this set I like most poly bags that come with interesting pieces and uncommon minifigures it comes with a rare translucent purple headpiece that only comes in one other Minecraft set so overall I think this set is pretty good and that's it for my Doctor Strange's interdimensional portal set review and I hope this was helpful.

    Portal to the Micro-City

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

A polybag that brings Doctor Strange and some pieces into a cheap small set. Not relating to the set itself but gotta love the art design of the bag of showing the portal working with it's effects with the City in the background in the portal.

    Minifigure

As the name of the polybag, you get Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness design, bringing a cheaper way of getting this minifigure and that sweet soft plastic cape

The printing is very nice looking but hard to see the leg printing as the dark blue blends in with the black legs.

One print I love seeing are on the hair with grey on the side, being the 3rd hair that have done this (the other two being in white {216} {120}) though I still think Infinity War Hair is the best out of the 3.

    Build

This is design to face one direction, as the small building are meant to be inside the portal. Having a very nice a simple design, and bring the trans-orange curved 4x4 tile into this set. Allowing fans who couldn't afford the 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum to make portals in their Doctor Strange MOCs.

The other stuff next to the portal are a simple box and potion bottle (which is another colour that was in many large sets). It is nice to get a little bit more than just the portal.

    Overall

I got this for about $2, but this is a great little polybag for those Doctor Strange fans who couldn't afford the larger sets, and very recommended.

And who know when we're ever going to see the character in a set cheap like this ever again (unless they're planning to make a mech for him).

Oh boy, I can’t wait to find out which cameo is gonna step outta that portal next… oh, it’s just Dr. Strange

Written by (TFOL , platinum-rated reviewer) in Mexico,

The Dr. Strange portal has become a cornerstone icon of the MCU over the years. It was great to finally see Lego’s representation of it in last year's sanctum. Even better however was that not long after Lego released a polybag, creating a very accessible way to acquire some portals and the cheapest way to get a Dr. Strange minifigure to date. The pieces to make a great polybag have been perfectly laid out.

    The Build

The Portal: As far as Polybag builds go, this is a pretty great one. I like the way the portal is built and a row of micro-scale buildings are included to create the suggestion of a backdrop, while I don’t really find it necessary, it’s a cool idea. Since this portal is seemingly opened at an alleyway, there’s some junk lying around like a box and some sort of mysterious potion using translucent purple minifigure head. Overall, I think they honestly could have just had the portal by itself and I’d still be happy, but the added unnecessary stuff is great.

    The Minifig

Dr. Strange: This variant of the character is getting increasingly common, having appeared in 4 sets in total. The whole figure is very similar to his appearance in the No Way Home Sanctum workshop set, with the only different piece being the torso which was slightly updated for Multiverse of Madness. The prints for his outfit are great, the plastic cape is awesome and nice to see in a set of this price, and the expressive face prints and hair definitely nail Strange’s look. Finally, his accessories are 2 translucent orange discs attached to clear holder pieces, some print of runes on the disc would’ve been nice, but I’m still grateful with the inclusion nonetheless. Overall, a fantastic figure, the prints are very detailed and the cloak of levitation really elevates the whole figure.

    Value For Money

This was among the last Lego purchases I made before moving out of South Africa, R60 for it was phenomenal. *sigh, I will miss being able to get polybags (and CMFs) for that cheap.

    Overall Opinion

This set just has a great idea behind it, It makes complete sense to have made a polybag like this. The build is desirable and instantly recognisable and if you wish to recreate that iconic Endgame scene, getting multiples of this is a great way to do so. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this polybag to Marvel fans and especially if you haven’t acquired a Dr. Strange figure yet.

    A Great Marvel Polybag

Written by (TFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in United States,

This is a great polybag that will work well with the modular Sanctum Sanctorum from 2022 (76218) as the portal is the same design as that set. The portal shows a micro scale version of New York City which is very cool and while simple it gets the point across. The purple potion is made using a minifigure head which is great parts usage. The Doctor Strange minifig is the same as the one in the Sanctorum including printed legs and torso. The best deal is the rubberised cape piece for the cloak of levitation and is the cheapest way to get that piece. I would highly suggest getting this set for only $5 as it is a great price if only for that Doctor Strange minifigure.

Not a Marvel fan, but I had a feeling I had to go back and get this polybag for the rare pieces

    Written by (AFOL) in Hungary,

    Building experience:

It is easy to follow instructions, but sometimes it is hard to spot what parts were added to the build, as the baseplate and the gravel parts are the same colour.

    Parts:

The orange transparent tile with bow only comes in more expensive sets, the transparent mini head used for the potion is also not so common. The cape is also very nice, as it is not hard plastic.

Very clever use of small bricks to create a skyline.

Nice printing on the minifig torso and legs.

    Playability:

Despite being a static stand and a figure with not many play functions, it is a very interesting set to display.

    Overall:

I think this set can be worth it even if you don't know anything about the character for the rare pieces and the minifig.
