Ah, back when the only Mickey Mouse theme was this. Now we've been bombarded with such sets for months and we have several dedicated themes to the mouse himself and what feels like half of the portfolio is co-owned by Disney XD

Oh, and it was a semi-revival of Fabuland's corpse but now licensed and with these oddball figures. A full decade after Fabuland kicked the slightly-larger-than-minifig-scale bucket.

It's not the first Disney theme though. That would be Winnie the Pooh from 1999. Humble beginnings for what would later be.

Six and a half hours late, and no sign of its travel companions.

Oof...
I decided to go to bed early, and now I arrive six hours late to see that there's only 2 comments. You know a set really speaks to people when that happens.

I'm not sure why the random articles didn't post overnight. We've been experiencing a lot of malicious traffic recently which I had to mitigate against last night, so that could be why.

Those printed parcel bricks on top of the mailbox are really cute, might see if I can get some one day

Didn't even look at the time it was posted. Now I'm really glad I didn't stay up the extra hour, it would have been for nothing!

Given what today’s set turned out to be I’m choosing to blame the House of Mouse; they will suffer no competition for headlines!

I have to wonder how securely Pluto's nose is holding that backpack piece. Does his nose actually serve as a stud, or was it acting as more of a hook?

@Binnekamp: Speaking of properties owned by the Mouse, I opened up the front page to look up the inventory for 75333.

For a moment I read that as Maniac Mansion

Not my cup of tea, but it strikes me as the kind of thing young kids would have a blast with. So considering that, I guess I'd have to say it looks pretty good!

The other sets like Mickey's Garage 4166 seemed more fun and half the price.

@Huw:
I’ve been having issues with pages, and especially large groups of images hanging, on mobile at work and home, and on a PC at home. I’m guessing that’s related?

Interesting to see there once was a bit of a comeback for Fabuland. Though I can't help but feel this has strong Duplo vibes too, not that the actual Fabuland stuff was known for it's complex, intricate builds, but this all looks VERY simplified.

Well that would be the set those parts I got in a bulk lot are from.

@AustinPowers: Well...one could argue "same thing"...:D

Also: Scrooge McDuck is eyeballing things from somewhere...

lastly: There's...jokes in here, a LOT of 'em; but unfortunately many/most would tie into politics, so that would be a "no"...oh well:)

@WizardOfOss:
Hmmm...I don't recall seeing any mice in Chima. Clearly what happened is Mickey muscled them all out of Fabuland, and that's how they ended up all Mad Max in Chima-land.

Watering a flower. On the pathway.

Now we know why Mickey keeps her around.
