Guess who's missing from the Emperor's Ship?

I really wanted this set when I was a kid. I still don’t have it, but I do have 70618 so that makes it better :)

By in New Zealand,

Very good set. Although, the design on the sail is kind of simple compared to the lovely dragon from the fortress.

Emperor Rosco?

Darn dragon dabbing on the sail again!

By in Australia,

This was one of my favourite Adventurers sets, and probably my favourite from the Orient Expedition line. Such a gorgeous boat.

That's no dragon, that's a salamander!

I want Johnny and Co. to return so bad. it's too bad we're getting the other guy with a hat later this year instead. (sorry Indiana Jones, but your Australian counterpart is more cool than you!)

@MCLegoboy:
Batman.

@Miyakan:
I actually bought an extra copy of this sail to turn a rowboat into a small sailboat.

@Murdoch17:
No, it's a dragon, but somebody turned him into a newt (he got better!).

Great set! I got two of these back in the day and one of them even came with an extra sail! I remember constructing a larger vessel including parts from the dragon fortress.

Aussie Aussie Aussie! Regardless of where Johnny Thunder was from, he is definitely cooler than Indy. (I do think Harrison Ford's a great actor though). Shame we didn't see the slouch hat piece return for either the Explorer CMF (the one with the chameleon), or the Australian chap with koala CMF.

This is an excellent ship that captures the style of a junk well. Adventurers had great, well developed plots, fun creative and interesting characters and awesome sets good for both play and display.

I _really_ wish they'd released Sao Feng's Empress in the PotC line. I actually built a real 11.5' sampan (never rigged it for sail, though) when I was working for a boatbuilder in high school, so I was particularly interested in seeing that one happen.

Love this ship. Still have it.
Very striking when built-the red and black scheme and sail look great.

By in Hong Kong,

Another great entry in the Orient Expedition lineup!
(Although Lego has long made plenty of boats that don't float in water, I wish this one could have. I have great memories of playing with floating firefighting boats in my childhood friend's pool...though it didn't do much for the Lego parts which lost all their gloss...)

I have two as well. One of them is still sealed; for all I know it could have an extra sail… or none at all. Maybe I’m short a sail. Or maybe I have a whole *slew* of extra sails. There’s no telling! :o

I really liked this whole theme, and very much enjoyed this set. It’s not the most feature-packed thing, but just a nice, solid, attractive build, for a pretty sweet-looking boat.

By in Netherlands,

Got it from a second had lot, but sadly the sail is missing.
Dragon Fortress Guard are nice but sadly I only have few of them, still usefull as mercenaries

By in New Zealand,

I just got the sail from a secondhand lot. I was unfortunate to not get the entire ship.

Ah, the emperor's ship! As I explained in the Dragon Fortress RSotD I'm a huge fan and now own every mainline Orient Expedition set and the three small boxed sets. No Kabaya or Chupa-Chups or misc. gear though.

I bought this one the week after I finally got my prized Dragon Fortress. It's a lovely set. Not huge or anything, but well sculpted and well-detailed, especially for the time. The two guards make my total at four, and that's just enough to make them feel like a force for the fortress.
I love the use of space too. There's a trapdoor on the middle section that reveals two enclosed barrels, each with four gems.

Technically this was my last set to complete for the theme. Mine was the only one from the theme lacking cards. Last year I bought a second one with cards solely to then sell and keep the cards, as in 9 years I had never been able to buy the cards anywhere closeby.

This set is nothing but ( a) junk!

By in Denmark,

I remember wanting this and the dragon palace so much when I was younger, but now I might try and make my own redesign with modern elements. Would be great to integrate into my Iron Fist and Shang-Chi builds!

Johnny thunder and friends appear in the cartoon at the start of the instructions so you could say they are missing? I miss the red horse 'dragon' battle helmet, as also made great roof attachments as last seen in white in Professor Lupin's Classroom 4752!

Tony Danza? Mexican Walt Disney? that one guy from that one show? Jerry Seinfeld? Morty?"

Emperor Kuzco? Emperor Shiv Palpatine? The Emperor with his new clothes? The Emperor of the North Pole? WE MUST KNOW!

Orient Expedition came out during my dark ages, but I still bought many of the sets, including this one, on a whim when I got my first college job. My dark ages weren't as dark, one could say. For the time the line was very innovative and cool.

More recently went out of my way (even to European sellers) to collect all the game cards, just because I was well over halfway there.

@oukexergon: So you had more of a dim age. I had similar. I was still obtaining and playing with Lego, it just didn't seem to have the joy it once had. And would have again.

I had some trouble connecting to the server, did Brickset die when it was time to upload the new Random Set of the Day?

Arrr...I sees no 'Ship', I sees a Boat; or 'Yacht' at best...:D
