Yeah, good luck catching up with that 4x4 off-roading truck in your little ATV policeman. Unless it's the other way around and that crook is pursuing the cop. He does look pretty nefarious with that crowbar...

Look out, Police! That redneck is pursuing you in his lift-kitted truck that doesn’t even have a usable cargo bed! And by the looks of that crowbar, he’s probably not the friendly type…wait, do I hear banjo music?

Whole new meaning to, "Squeal like a pig."

Less of a pickup truck and more of a setdown truck. Thank goodness the back has studs on it or anything you put there would just slide off as soon as you accelerated.

The truck bed is usable, the plate is on a hinge and can be lifted up.

Ah, I see. It’s an entire truck bed with just enough room for one crowbar, one bar of gold, and a single piece of paper money. I didn’t know Lamborghini made trucks.

Little surprised this one didn't include a pair of handcuffs.

My first LEGO City set ever! Forest police was a great subtheme, it also brought us the great police chinook helicopter!

By in Hungary,

I remember eyeing this set for the pickup, as the colors are great. I passed up on it eventually. Interestingly, they released a very similar truck in a very similar police set ( 60128 ) a few years later, so I got that one instead.

By in Estonia,

What a disappointing ridiculous set - the policeman has no gear (no gun, no handcuffs, no radio...) and to boot the jeep has no doors (unnecessary juniorization). The only scenario is for the crook to run the policeman's quad over with his jeep yet it can't be what the designers had in mind, can it?

Yes, a deer slayer with a tonneau cover. Who says rednecks aren’t sophisticated?

By in United States,

I have 2 of these, apparently...Forgot about it.

By in Netherlands,

The pickup truck looks a bit bare, could use some expanding from 40303: Vehicle Set.

And then there's the concept of 60353: Wild Animal Rescue Missions which basicly invites even more customizing.

@holdre007:
Hey, it’s redneck “culture” gone wild. Truck with a lift kit and oversized tires, but with the doors welded shut like his favorite “Nasecore” driver. And little, if any, thought to how difficult it will be to climb up that high and crawl trough the window (which has to be left open year round, in rain, or sleet, or snow, or hail). Or how risky it will be to crawl back out that window without falling onto the pavement eight feet below you. Or worse, getting your foot caught on the steering wheel just as you’re 3/4 of the way through.

I got this one as a gift for Christmas is 2012!

Interesting you note this as that will probably be the equivalent of what LEGO will charge for one of their larger sets in a few years...

By in Turkey,

One of the first Lego sets I got for my son. You know, to warm him up for the craft. Sadly he grew out of Lego when he was around 10. So I humbly accepted the job of safekeeping his Legos :)

By in Poland,

That was one of most amazing years of Lego city.
>Mining
>All those amazing Great Vechicles that were REALLY well priced

Couldn't agree more. If you ask me, 2012-2013 was City's Golden Age.

I dunno, way they’re stood it looks like the cop might be tempted to chuck a gold bar at our crook

By in United Kingdom,

This is another set I picked up cheap in my local supermarket. Not groundbreaking but nice enough at half price.

By in United Kingdom,

More unarmed mall cop meets redneck shopper, the pay isn't worth the stress.

Don’t take any chances when it comes to banjo music.

Especially "Dueling Banjos"! You hear that, you're already dead... you just don't know it yet.

By in Netherlands,

I've never really felt attracted to this one because it's just two cars in a theme that is already 98% cars. But at the time it went for like 15 euro or something. It was decent value when you consider you get a full size truck and an ATV. But then you look at them and they're just so basic...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've got a real sense of cognitive dissonance seeing a set with that cop, that crook, a dark red vehicle in RSOTD: isn't this supposed to be for 10+ year old sets? The math adds up (2022 - 2012 = 10), but this looks, feels, smells, tastes like a set from "four or five years ago."

Crazy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m actually rebuilding this right now!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Truck's ok; though I like the Half-Track out of 60071 better...similar color scheme too...
ATV's not bad either, though the lack of equipment is a problem...

@Aramor:
See your "Rambo Lambo", and raise you a "Cheetah":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Cheetah
Yes, it was a 10 year older prototype...but it was also the G.I. Joe V.A.M.P.; as well as the 'base vehicle' for the Cobra Stinger...Now you Know, and...I'll see myself out:D...
