This set is incredibly special to me! It's the first one I bought after graduating college and inducted me back into Lego as a hobby! It's an awesome set, to boot!

Star Wars! Nothing but Star Wars! Give me those Star Wars! Don't let 'em end!

Star Wars Celebration's still happening right now, Obi-Wan Kenobi's just a few hours away, and Huwbot gave us an Old Republic set.
It's been a good day, and it will continue to be a good day tomorrow.

In Canon the Sith Fury Class ship is as big if not bigger then the Millennium Falcon!

By in Canada,

The Darth Malgus figure is frickin amazing, one of my fav Star Wars minifigs.

A part of me thinks a shame that LEGO didn't make more Extended Universe sets before Disney axed it, but another part of me is hopeful Legends sets can show up as some sort of memorabilia/legacy collection someday

By in Australia,

Just in time for Obi-Wan Kenobi! Really wish we did get more KOTOR sets, particularly the Ebon Hawk, but I'm happy we did get this one at least.

They made the Azure Angel in 2014, and I'm still waiting for Asajj's Fan-blade! There's plenty of great stuff to mine from the Expanded Universe that would make for some cool sets, and there's plenty of it that also gets repurposed into the current canon, so don't lose faith just yet. Of course we still haven't gotten a Geonosian Arena in 20 years either...

The newest Republic Fighter Tank and the clone troops are all from Legends.

This was a really fantastic set. Great design and had one of the most detailed minifigures of the time.

I remember doing something unusual when I built this. Instead of keeping each bag of parts in a separate pile like I normally do, I poured them all into one big pile and mixed them up for an added challenge. Made the build take a LOT longer, but it was a lot of fun.

I’m not much for Star Wars Lego. But I really like this set. One of the few I’ve kept over the years. Still have the box even.

It's actually MUCH larger than the Falcon. This thing is a whopping 100 meters long in canon and 88 meters wide. The Falcon is only 34.5 by 25.6 meters.

A Lego Falcon accurately scaled to this set would only be about 12 studs long.

By in South Korea,

Not gonna lie I love this one. The way the wings are shaped just make it look so cool!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Darth Corpsey.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I dunno, looks like a squished Tie Interceptor to me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still need to break this out and build it. All I did was take Darth out. Makes me feel like a kid.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Always wondered why it is so similar to a TIE

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m still reeling over the fact I missed this one. Looks like a great set!

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is another one I regret not picking up.

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

Normally I like studs, but here I think the set would have looked better studless.

By in Germany,

Stupid Dark Ages! Now it's hard to come by. Dear TFOLs and KFOLs: Skip your Dark Ages! The time after death is dark and long enough!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Always wanted this one but it came during my parents’ ban on Lego :(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I waited patiently for LEGO to get round to making the Bounty Hunter ship but alas.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love this set, it feels properly solid and weighty, the slopes have a neat construction technique, and the whole thing just looks cool. Makes a great drop ship for bad guy forces!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wish Lego had done more KoTOR/TOR sets. Actually, I wish they'd done some KoTOR sets at all!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I don't like licensed sets in general but I think it's neat that Lego made sets based on Star Wars games. 7672 also comes to mind.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I see Huwbot is also celebrating Starwars.

I don't know this ship, I don't know this set, but it looks cool

I started to play Star Wars The Force Unleashed few days ago.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Almost exactly one year ago, I decided to gift my inner child something for Children's Day, after a rough few months. Ended up getting this, thanks to my love for TOR. Used, but in great shape. Been here ever since, with steadily growing collection. Right on point, Huwbot.

By in Netherlands,

Has it really been that long? 2012, so it has!
I remember this set for being very expensive at the time, but I heard Darth Malgus was considered the best figure ever by many people at the time. Since then there have been so many more... but next to no EU sets beside one set from one single source every few years or so.

Ah Sith man, the original price must be enticing compared to what it's worth now!

EDIT: the current price isn't that much higher actually. I remember it being well over a hundred euro, probably 120, not 100 as listed in the database. So if that was the case here the current lowest price is actually pretty close for a retired set from a scarce subtheme from Star Wars!

By in Germany,

Sad we couldn't get all the personal ships from SWTOR, I'd really love to have a BT-7 Thunderclap

Gravatar
By in Germany,

One of the best SW-ships ever made by Lego! Bought it back in 2012 as one of the first sets after returning from the dark ages.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

To me this is one of the top five SW sets of all time. It looks amazing with great engineering for the shaping and near UCS levels of greebling, has some suitable play features like the opening wings, ramp from the cockpit and passenger bay in the back and to top of it off has the Darth Malgus minifigure too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I could not agree more with the other comments. This model is absolutely fantastic and the Darth Malgus minifigure is, in my opinion, one of the best ever!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This set was absolutely marvelous. It introduced me to a few new building techniques. Great minifigures too.
Those were the days when I had every single SW set.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Legends / Classic!EU sets are the best thing about Lego Star Wars, in my mind. Then again, several Classic!EU works are also my favourite things about Star Wars in this day and age, so I guess there's some kind of correlation there!

Would love to see more Legends sets, if Lego ever feels that way inclined. If I hadn't been in my 'dark age' at the time, I'm certain I would have been all over the Azure Angel in 75087... and I'm just wondering if some day they won't make more sets based on my favourite EU works.

KotOR, 2003-era Clone Wars, some of the novels... I'm not picky, I'd just like to see them acknowledged in brick form!

@ao_ka:
Ep1 explains that, since Maul’s Infiltrator shares design elements with the TIE family. Given the Sith “only two” rule, one can assume a direct lineage from Malgus to Maul, so it makes sense that their spacecraft might also share a lineage. The GAR from the prequels becomes the Empire from Ep4 in just a couple decades, with Darth Sidious in the big chair, so again it makes sense that Sith design elements would creep into Imperial blueprints. What doesn’t make any sense is how the Ep3 Jedi starfighters also incorporate TIE aesthetics.

@Jack_Rizzo:
I went through that (it’s as close as I came to a dark ages). Didn’t stop me from sneaking Dragon Masters sets into the house…

@MusiMus:
I played around with the cheat codes on one of those games, to give my character a purple lightsaber with as lethal a blade as possible. I lost a mission by walking too close to one of my own NPCs, because simply grazing a normal human with it caused instant death, and one of the main objectives in that mission was to keep all the defending troops alive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is hands down one of the best looking Star Wars models. I chose not to get it back in the day because it didn't fit in with any of my factions but I loved it then and still love it.

I wish I'd been sneakier myself, my parents' ban on Lego lasted 2004 to 2011, so most of my childhood. Missed out on most of BIONICLE, Knights Kingdom, Castle, bunch of cool Space...deeply frustrating. Your kid's being bullied at school so to try and "help", you take away the thing he was excited for outside of it.

Still, jokes on them, as soon as the ban ended I never stopped collecting and now work at Lego XD

LEGO Brand Retail, LEGOLAND Windsor, or is there some corporate operation in the UK?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I got a significant chunk of this in a batch of used LEGO last year and had it out only yesterday to finish repairing it--the thing is a lot bigger than I'd realised from only knowing it from pictures (notwithstanding that it is actually quite UNDER-sized if you compare with the Falcon). It's got a lot of heft to it--almost too much to be swooshable, I worry, but I'll reserve judgement for truly finishing it.

Alas, the one thing I didn't get and can't replace out of my existing collection is Mr. Malgus.

Gravatar
By in United States,

You have to wonder if there was some kind of internal directive at Lego to make this set swooshable for more kid appeal, even if it is inaccurate to the lore. There may have also been a certain price point they had to meet and not exceed.

The Sith Empire he participated in predates the Rule of Two Banite Sith, and even the Dark Brotherhood that it grew out of. but yeah, the Sith aesthetic was present there, thousands of years before Maul and Bane. For example. the Harrower-class resembles the ISD quite a bit.

Lore esoterica aside, this is one of if not my favorite (non-capital) ship in Star Wars. I love flying it around and using it as my mobile base in SWTOR!]]

This thing is literally my dream set. I wish I had it, but alas, I do not.

got it for a decent price minus Malgus on ebay a few years ago. one of my favorites!

My parent (a.k.a 'wife') is talking about instituting such a ban.

Yeesh! How many Lego flowers and plants do I need to buy her!? (Note: Lego flowers are not as effective as the real thing. Women love things that are beautiful and quickly die and then get composted. Near as I have been able to figure, it's a metaphorical celebration of existential principles).

Guess it's time to make some more dough- for a bigger house.

By in United States,

I guess the Rule of Two was originally the Rule of Three*: A Sith Lord and two troopers.

*I'm totally kidding, in case it's isn't clear. It's obvious that this set enshrines the Rule of One instead, as Sith troopers don't actually count as Sith! ;-)

I lucked out finding this at an antique mall a few years ago, but, alas, no figs.

By in Spain,

This is a gem for many reasons...the reference to the game, the iconic Darth Malgus minifig, the sturdy and impressive build with pretty unique techniques. One of my top five SW sets favorites. Jedi Defender class cruiser 75025 is in that group too.
