By in United States,

A boat that has a rocket. Never seen that before in a lego set.

Edit: I looked up rocket boat on google and it seems that going on a rocket boat ride is popular in San Francisco apparently.

Kabaya sets continue to be…unique.

By in United States,

It's a rocket and a boat, and probably fails at being both.

It never ceases to amaze me the number and diversity of vehicles minifigs can control with a simple steering wheel.

By in New Zealand,

Going by the pattern from yesterday, I reckon that Jaws set is the Ideas winner.

By in United States,

Absolutely zero flaws. This is a perfect LEGO set.

By in Australia,

Well, it’s good but it’s no goat.

Hopefully Jaws wins. I rewatched the movie today and I thought it was great, But then again I am a fan of Spielberg's films :).

Rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby, rock the boat, don't tip the boat over...

Hmm, looks like an Alpha Team precursor...

By in United States,

Hmm. Being THAT close to a massive rocket/jet engine CAN'T be safe!!!!!

Parts spread is really impressive for such a small polybag

By in Turkey,

I really don't like this color scheme. Green is theproblem for me. It just doesn't work.

By in Canada,

I wonder how much the windshield is really helping. Like, his entire head is sticking above it, so whats the point?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ohhhhh I thought you said rocket GOAT.

By in United Kingdom,

Howard Hughes making another attempt at a speed record...

If only Donald Campbell had used Lego...

Gravatar

Terrible colour scheme though.

At least it keeps the controls dry...

The set itself though is cute, small and fun. I think, we need more such stuff these days.

Lego exec: "We have these parts leftover in these colors, what can we sell with it?"

Lego designer: "What about a rocket boat?"

By in Hungary,

So yesterday we had a random set with a boat.
Yesterday we had a new set of a boat with goats.
Today we have a random set with a boat.
Can we expect today a new set with a boat and goats as well?

It's so that if you crash, they can still find your torso.

By in United Kingdom,

The discontinued Technic Forklift Forks (part 2823) could be useful in mocs, although I doubt they would provide enough lift to fly.

I miss the 90's.

By in United States,

@Aramor :
Someone once told me that when they do crash tests, they’re only really concerned with the survivability of the torso, and the extremities are considered expendable. Supposedly the head is counted as an extremity like the arms and legs.

@ambr :
You can achieve lift in three ways. You can make the object lighter than air, like a blimp or dirigible. You can use shaped wings to reduce the relative air pressure on the top of the wing vs what’s exerted on the bottom of the wing, so air pressure actually pushes the object up. Or you can just go fast enough that any sort of vane will effectively steer the object up through angle of attack. Airplanes that fly upside down experience negative lift from their wing structure, since the air pressure is now lower on the surface closest to the ground, but if they’re moving fast enough they can still stay aloft due to the large surface area of the wing. Missiles have stubby little wings, but they constantly steer up just enough to counter gravity. I don’t know how fast you’d need to go to use those forks as wings, but in theory it’s possible. Assuming the ABS doesn’t burst into flame from air friction...
