By in United States,

I have a sealed copy of this on my desk right now!

It was one of the first sets I bought after coming out of my "dark age".

Pearl Light Gold C-3PO.
Pearl Light Gold is one of the weirdest colors, it almost has a fleshy tone to it, and yet, I kind of miss it.

By in United States,

These are not the droids your're looking for.

NOT an elegant set for a more civilised age.

Ha! I own this! One of the very first sets I bought. My favorite thing about this is C-3PO.

^Nah, those were printed. I own this set. I didn't clamor for it back in the day, but somehow, it fell into my possession after being found on deep discount. Back then, Star Wars sets could be reduced over 75%. Silly me only got one of these, though. I really wanted the large curved panels and dish more than C-3PO, thinking they would be good in spaceship MOCs. But again, I needed to buy multiples of the set to make that dream viable, and that just wasn't how my parents let me operate when getting Lego sets back then. Oh well.

By in Turkey,

I'm trying to build 75136 with my spare parts, but this seems so much simpler. Maybe I should change my direction. Then again, there is no interior in this. I'll stick with the plan...

By in United States,

I have fond memories of this set — alas, it was sold off when I entered my Lego dark age around 2004...

Always wanted this one as a kid, though if I were to get it now, I'd probably rather go for one of the updated versions. Still, the printed/stickered elements in this look useful.

I can just imagine those two rattling around inside that completely empty interior

Yeah but how are you going to manage the Death Star plans? There are some pretty rare pieces in there.

By in Portugal,

Another old set from my star wars collection.

I remember I've wanted it for the figures and because I was trying to recreate some basic scenes from the 4th movie, mainly!

I love Tattoine!

By in Greece,

Only 10 Star Wars sets in a whole year! Quality over quantity?

By in Australia,

I remember ordering those white printed curved pieces off Bricklink, just because I wanted them in my collection.

By in Netherlands,

If LEGO still used yellow figures from this era (SW fleshie figures started in 2005) I'd have some interest in the theme, but right now, not at all, even while most faces have certainly better printing now.

I had this one... in fact, I still do have this one! I'm another one who got it cheap... on sale around Christmas time that year, if I recall correctly? I was still a newbie Star Wars fan around then, and the expensive sets were rather out of my reach (exception being Mos Espa Podrace, which I had got for my birthday earlier that year), so this was my first opportunity to get a C-3PO.

The printing on this version of him is so *simplistic*... and yet? I think I prefer it to the newer versions? Something about that same simplicity of these classic designs feels so much more appealing to me than the really detailed licensed figures we get nowadays.

...though I also don't doubt that's just nostalgia talking xD

By in Italy,

My third set out of the dark age. First two were 7200 and 7201. With them I made a little diorama, then I added the original trilogy's other main characters from BL (the hardest one was Leia).

Ahhh, this wonderful little set. Not the best of the early Star Wars line, but lovely and charming nonetheless. CHARM, the big thing that current Star Wars sets have been missing for many, many years.

Man I loved ALL the early Star Wars sets because before that, there was a huge swath of nothing. I had this on my desk for years because it was so charming and simple.

Those panels are definitely printed and not stickers. I found most of this set from a lot of Lego I bought from someone local (I wonder if he'll regret selling his Lego someday). Unfortunately C3PO is missing :( One day I'll get him to finish it - mostly because I'm a sucker for printed pieces.

Well, I wasn't going for full recreation. I had 4 curved walls in my parts bin, and wanted to use them all in one design. Since I wouldn't be able to build a castle, this was the next best thing.

Yesssss... the second of RSOTD which I have... has a long time ago... For its time - quite a neat thing...

By in Spain,

One of the sets that saved Lego. I bought the entire wave of Star Wars sets when this came out, and I like this C3PO.!
