NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Oh, wow! A SW LEGO classic. I say classic because this set had been remade recently and also this is the original Darth Vader minifigure, is it not? I proudly own this one and just four more sets from Episode III.
Man, original Vader is one of the best minifigs they ever made.
How is that categorised as a minifig? Seriously Brickset?
I have the new version and not this so I am certainly bias in favor of the new one. Nothing can take away from the old-school charm of this set, however.
It's over Anakin, I have the high ground.
Thank you, @Mr__Thrawn, for not disappointing!
75183 is a way better more detailed version LEGO has come a long way.
I know this set means a lot to some people, but the new one kicks butt.
Wooo! One of my first sets after emerging from the Dark Ages! Love the 'transformation' function :-)
My first ever Darth Vader Minifigure. This does bring back fond memories.
I love the scarred Anakin head in this set. It's perfect for showing damage, but it isn't grotesque, and it is the perfect balance of portraying what needs to be portrayed while still fitting with The LEGO Group's ideals. Also, the emotion of the face is great. The mouth is the same as the frowning scowl of regular 2005 Anakin, but with the absence of eyebrows, and with the scarring around the eyes, they kind of sink back and it makes me think more that he is sad than anything else. When you look at it enough, you actually kind of feel pity. Such a great minifigure head.

Didn't even know there was an older version of the darth vader transformation. I only know of 75183.
This really makes me appreciate the redesigned set. This set is very nice as well, but the remake improves on every part of this set while having the same play feature.
A pivot scene in the Star Wars / Skywalker sage... and Lego took that literally..
I have both this and 75183, but since the new one is superior and my display space is limited, I am not even sure if the 7251 is boxed and gathering dust, or went into the parts bin..
As a side note : I really like the small 20-25 euro scene / non-vehicle sets that Lego is doing lately.. though the upcoming 75246 DS Cannon might be a bit to sparse.
I had numerous opportunites to get this set back in 2005-06, but never got. Regretted this decision later.
But now I have the 2017 version and I just think this 2005 version is funny due to its absurd simplicity.
I did not know there was a previous version of the transformation set. I gotta say, seeing both of these definitely makes the new one stand out as a much better model. Glad I picked it up.
I wish we could still get three licensed minifigures for $7.
This set would be absurdly overpriced in this day and age. At least double this price
I owned this and own the redesign of it, which I think is great. Every aspect of the set is much better with the redesign, but I have to admit, the old Anakin figure was pretty useful as an early Darth Vader figure. The new one is basically so damaged and scary, it can only be used as the half dead Anakin..
I remember seeing this set as a kid at Kaybee Toys. Wasn't that into LEGO back then; so of course, I didn't get it.
The RRP of this set is pretty bad for 2019, let alone 2005.
