Random set of the day: Head Stand

Today's random set is 3309 Head Stand, released in 1998. It's one of 61 Town sets produced that year. It contains 96 pieces and 3 minifigs.
It's owned by 395 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

The cartoon on the front is doing a backflip. Not a head stand. Silly Lego. ;-)
They were all very late 90s, but I loved this theme of soccer-stadium sets, I thought they were brilliant.
“Head stand” here refers to goal position. Some stadiums built with one goal zone being near where a vehicle, such as medical or maintenance, could drive in. People could sit front row or near to ground level on three sides, similar to a horseshoe or a capital U. Head stand can also refer to “a manager box or team box”, similar to a baseball dugout or where a hockey team is benched when not doing penalty.
Question- Is this really System or part of the Sports for the soccer/football stuff?

Clearly remember the summer of 1998 when my parents bought me all these soccer sets in a small Bavarian town Furth im Wald. That time I was 15 and this soccer theme were available only in Germany. Unfortunately, the only minus was the stickers which had poor quality

Brilliant modular stand accessory for the Soccer theme. Great fun when all sets combined. The best part was how it made your Lego Soccer sets into a functional foosball table surrounded by spectators od the Town.
@ArielHairRaph - These were System, yeah; the main Lego Sports line wouldn't start until a couple of years after this, in 2000. These earlier football-based sets were a separate line of Shell promotionals; I don't know the full story behind them, but they seem to be classed as an offshoot of town, and didn't have the unique play features of the later Sports sets. The football field of this series, for example (3302) is simply made of decorated standard baseplates, rather than the flick stands that would become a key feature of the Sports line.
I didn't even know these had existed for the longest time; I think it was only when I first started browsing Brickset that I discovered they had ever been a thing ^^
These were Shell promotional sets for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and were only available in select European countries. To the best of my knowledge, they were Netherlands, Germany, Austria, England, and Scotland; those countries also got special stickers for their countries' kits. These were realistic-style sets, and the pitch baseplates were large, printed and look great. I'm fortunate enough to have a complete set with enough stands for 3 sides.
LEGO would later come out with the soccer/football theme that would make it more of a game. They are still mostly good sets, and I wish LEGO would consider coming out with them again. With the popularity of football worldwide, I have to imagine there is a market for it.
It only just dawned on me that those white "slopes" with sponsor stickers (that also appear in the 2000 theme) were actually white windscreens.
See, this set picture is inaccurate as the stickers are perfectly intact and not crumbling into dust...!
Lego has always struggled with grandstands and other types of seating arrangements due to the minifigs having much wider arms than actual human beings do. This is also observed in Palace Cinema.
Never got into these football sets. Although if they made one of the awaystand. Complete with riotpolice, fences and hooligan types of minifigs. Then I would buy it for sure.
