Today's random set is 3022 Harry Caine's Airplane, released in 1998. It's one of 21 Adventurers sets produced that year. It contains 23 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 171 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

I loved the Adventurer's sets. They were a really neat and rather unique theme. I'm pretty sure The Mummy movie helped inspire them being made, but they were still neat.
Airplane? Those proportions between the figure and vehicle are spot on.
It's one of those Kabaya sweet sets. Some of them weren't just released with Japanese sweets, because I ended up buying the mummy one in an Australian Toys R Us at one point, IIRC.
Charming! I absolutely adore the "Thunder Adventure Tours" ad in the Ninjago City Docks set... what a wonderful throwback.
While this is not the best example of the theme, I was a fan of Adventurers.
I think Harry Caine was one of the characters whose name never went through any changes. The other three Adventurers heroes all had some shifting backwards and forwards, but Harry was always Harry
Swooooosh!!
You know what's weird? I just dreamed that one of the classic Adventurers sets came up as Random Set today. It wasn't actually this one, granted, but still... what are even the chances? xD
Adventurers was one of those themes that absolutely riveted me as a kid... though I had more of the Jungle subtheme than the Desert one. Mostly because '99 was when I really started collecting Lego themes, thanks to the old Lego Adventures magazine... and you know, even as basic as most of its comic stories were, I probably wouldn't be a fan of Lego today if it wasn't for them.
I particularly miss the old Adventurers logo that we see in the top-right of that image, honestly.
Do you think this was just a generic name chosen? Or perhaps an amalgamation of Harry Palmer (from the Len Deighton spy films) and Michael Caine (who played said spy)?
Good to see him back in training and hopefully able to play today too.
Oh wait, that’s Harry Kane...
@jhs8swd - I'm pretty sure his name is supposed to be a play on 'hurricane', since all the classic Adventurers characters (at least in some countries) had weather-based names: Johnny Thunder is universal, then there was Dr. Lightning, Gail Storm... Harry Cane is a bit more of a stretch, but still fits that name scheme somewhat.
I keep mixing this one up with the shell promo set I have. Very similar small builds, good way to get a pilot hat with goggles (I found them the coolest at the time).
I have a few of the smaller sized Adventurers sets, but I'm unfamiliar with the Harry Caine character.
Nice minifig but worst airplane tail ever!
I hereby petition the name Harry Caine to be used officially in the next LEGO action/adventure line as his own unique minifigure.
You know what I always though would be cool? If more of the LEGO Adventurer-based (and actual Adventurer) minifigures appeared in more than one line. Dr. Brains was in both Power Miners and Atlantis, Solomon Blaze was in Galaxy Patrol and Ultra Agents, and Johnny Thunder had a relative (Josh? I think he was his grandson) in one of the Dino sets. I think we need more of that. Have Dr. Kilroy/Lightning, Power Miner's Doc, and Frank Rock all appear in some adventure together. Could be fantastic!
Cute plane .
HERE I AM!
ROCK YOU LIKE I'M HARRY CAINE!
HERE I AM!
ROCK YOU FROM MY AEROPLANE!
...Sorry, I just had to!
^ LOL too bad this set didn't also come with a few scorpions.
@jhs8swd @BionicleJedi interesting insights and I think both theories work together - much more meta that way and makes this character all the more intriguing!
@MataNui ...
"Dr. Brains was in both Power Miners and Atlantis, Solomon Blaze was in Galaxy Patrol and Ultra Agents, and Johnny Thunder had a relative (Josh? I think he was his grandson) in one of the Dino sets."
Really? I didn't know any of that. That's a really impressive level of continuity.
Reminds me a lot of tiny little Shell exclusive 2542
