Random set of the day: Kick 'n' Score

Today's random set is 1428 Kick 'n' Score, released in 2002. It's one of 43 Sports sets produced that year. It contains 24 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 142 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

I really appreciate how firmly committed Huwbot is to its programming. Every day, a truly random set!
^Truly SMALL that is lol. 7134 was the last set that was over 100 pieces, 6 days ago.
Perhaps I am in the minority, but I very much appreciate the highlighting of these lesser-known sets. It is revealing of the evolution of TLG’s product line. Iconic sets are wonderful and mostly what I love about LEGO, but seeing these smaller features really rounds out my appreciation of what the brand has represented over the many decades from my first sets bestowed upon me by my grandmother, because my parents could not afford LEGO, to my self-gratifying adult indulgences. After all, they likely sell far more poly bags than modular buildings.
^ Look, I like seeing these small, odd little sets high-lighted, but it's kinda funny we've just had a run of them.
Calling it now, tomorrow's set will be Galidor. Not only is Huwbot sentient, I think he's got a sense of humour.
I'm guessing by the trajectory of the ball, that figure's in an England away top?
How well did those little stand things actually work at kicking balls? I only really known them from being integrated into catapults in the Vikings line

Schmopiesdad I totally agree in that I discover with such random sets some I did not even imagined that were designed. I knew a sport line existed with NBA stars for instance or German football team, but such a small football set was far from my expectations on a random set of the day. And as mentioned in another comment, we can also thanks to that evaluate the changes made in designs, parts, colors, and also minifigs printings : I find some face expressions in the 90's pretty ugly sometimes, with strange hairs or eyes, and like much better or old fashioned ones (simple dots for eyes and a smile on the yellow face) or more modern ones. But this is a personal matter (tastes and colors)

Good luck. I called Galidor for yesterday, but huwbot did not oblige.
A lot of play value for a small set. Get two and a decently sized shallow box, and it's a game. Most these days are just a minifigure and a tiny vehicle with not much play-ability.
I thought Huw excluded (originally) Bionicle, Galidor, Ben 10, Hero Factory, Jack Stone, Duplo, and possibly a few others I can't remember. Upon popular vote Bionicle was reinstated but I think the others are still not going to pop up.
LEGO should return with the sports theme.
^I hope not hero factory! That was the theme that really got me hooked on lego!
I come just for the whining about the size/age of the random sets.
