Every remade version of the Sith Infiltrator looks weird to me because I own the original from 1999. Don't care who you are or what you think about it and it's blockiness and blue highlights, I love it, and you can't change my mind.

Finally! One I owned way back when.... doesn't feel like a decade ago!

This one was weird because of the laziness in the use of large pieces, and not many people bought it.
I got one new in the box a few years after it came out, and later sold it, still sealed.
It just wasn't that interesting.

Never understood why they’ve released 4 versions of this thing. And the last two versions I remember being ridiculously expensive so I wouldn’t buy them.

By in Spain,

This is definitely one of the more interesting sets of 2007 (besides M-TT) the wings are probably the most accurate part of the model, but it would look weird on the newer models!

I quibbled over this for so long...there was a lot of good Star Wars available in 2007 for the 30th anniversary...and it just so happened to be the same year I graduated high school and started college, so my Lego funds were at their absolute minimum! For a long time, I had this on my "want" list, but eventually, it was remade. To be honest, the 2011 version wasn't much better looking, but at least it was closer in size to the Sith Infiltrator from The Phantom Menace. So in the end, I feel that it was good that I waited. However, the 2007 one would have made a good parts pack! And yes, it is by FAR superior to that junk from 1999. Feel free to like and defend the old Sith Blockitrator all you want--you're still wrong!

Say what you want about the design being lazy, but I actually think this is the best-looking LEGO version of the Sith Infiltrator since it's able to capture the curves of the source material the most accurately. Using large moulded pieces really is the best way to replicate the ship at this scale.

By in France,

When I started collecting SW sets and that 7961 had not been released yet, I have dreamed hours in front of this one. I loved its smooth and sleek profile. Then 7961 was released and I purchased it, even if I was quite deceived about its completely different design, full of visible studs... But as a SW fan I couldn't not have Maul's ship. I eventually got used to it and like it. And then a few years later again, 75096 came out, sleek and smooth again! I must say that when I saw the first pictures of the last, I felt a bit... Angry.

1999 = better than this one. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this was a 2007 set. Surely there were higher standards of quality back then? The slopes don't even line up at all!

Ah, that awkward period after Lego had developed curved slopes but before they'd figured out how to actually use them.

I bought this second hand off Ebay and it came with loads of the internal pieces in the wrong colours and some missing ones too but I was young so never did anything about it. Actually quite like the size and look of the set. The new ones are too big and expensive for me.

Hey, I got this one for my birthday back in '07! I liked it at the time - long had a soft spot for the Sith Infiltrator as a ship - but after a little while it began to dawn on me how *off* the size scale was... when the entrance hatch, printed on the back of the vehicle, wasn't even half Maul's height! I know that scaling it down made it more affordable, but... couldn't quite think of it in the same light after realising that.

The tiny Sith Speeder inside it was a really nice little design, though; far superior to the one Maul rode in the 1999 sets ^^

Have they ever correctly named this set the Scimitar? It’s a cool name but they always just call it a duty infiltrator.

By in Netherlands,

I picked the latest version up a few weeks ago, sealed and mint for €45,-
Thought that was a steal. Also the last version is the best looking IMHO.

@BrickHelix Sith Infiltrator. And yes it's Scimitar class. Would be cooler to name it "Scimitar class Sith Infiltrator"
