By in Australia,

Never owned this guy myself, but I really like how they did the little pinpoint of white in his eyes just using bricks. That's really clever.

We've got one of these at work. It seems just like a Legoland model.

Didn't this dragon have a name?

By in United States,

^ I believe its name was Ollie.

I remember seeing this a lot in promotional photos. Or maybe the design's so iconic it stuck in my mind after seeing it only once. Anyway, I hope to get it at some point, or at least bricklink the parts to make it.

By in Canada,

I wish they would do more of these builds for sale.

Alby... Alby... Alby... Alby, the Racist Dragon!
Anyone get it?

By in Australia,

This is such an absolutely appalling set! Lego have completely stuffed up the subtle curves associated with green dragons, and whilst this should be absolutely iconic it looks blocky and goofy rather than the version I want.

I can't understand how anybody could own this set, and huwbot is really doing brickset readers a disservice by promoting this as set of the day.

^ Me too!

By in Germany,

At that time I didn't know that this figure was used as a mascot in LEGOLAND parks. To me it appeared as the most creative set of the sculptures series.
However, I haven't released that dragon from its box yet.

Can Lego rerelease this please, it’s so cute, and a nice counter to the rest of Lego’s newer sets

Well this is a blast from the past! Pretty sure there are still a few versions of this guy hanging around Legoland Windsor in various costumes

By in United States,

I really like the way they did the instructions for these sculptural models.

By in Ireland,

We love this model of Ollie. Our daughter built the set a few years ago. He is always a big hit with both adults and children when we bring him to exhibitions.

The LEGO should re-launch this set

One of my favorite LEGO mascots but not a fan of the set, a bit too blocky for my tastes. He looks better at larger scales.

@Kynareth

I totally agree ^^ No, really! ^__^

It's great to see we're back to some healthy irony in the comment thread after the storm. Thanks, Kynareth for bringing back laughter, and thanks to Huw, CapnRex, Huwbot for a great job and for bearing with us. ^^

By the way, the Dragon is sincerely awesome.

A female version appears in the first DK LEGO book, with eyelashes and a polka dot bow.

@Major Chief read the comments on the DB5 review and you’ll get it.
