Santa's Workshop available now to VIPs

Shop.LEGO.com VIPs can now order this year's Winter Village set, and buy it at brand stores.
Normally I'd encourage you to do so but personally I'd hold fire until October when (a) it will be double VIP points, (b) 40106 Elves' workshop will be free with qualifying purchases, and most importantly (c) LEGO will hopefully have sorted out its affiliate tracking system because at the moment orders placed via our links (and those at other websites) are not being attributed correctly.
But, if you insist, here are the links: USA | UK | Canada.

Sweet! Will wait for next month though, gotta get that promo set too.
The clerk at the Lego store enthusiastically let me know it was available today. I suggested I could wait two weeks to get 2x points and the bonus set.
Sometimes, I think I know their promotions and product better than they do. :)
Ordered! Still has the spaceman promo available, so might as well. Besides, I have enough sets left to get that I know the Holiday promos won't be ignored!
Ordered last night. Had some issues with the checkout, but worked out after all. Too bad that I did not think of promo set next month (anyone has an idea what the promo set will be, or did I miss some news?). Now I have to think about another set that I could buy to get it.
What is on offer (promo) if I got it today.....
According to the October UK store calendar just spotted online; Double points throughout October, Elves Workshop exclusive free with £50+ spend 15th - 31st October 2014.
... Will be ordering on the 15th then ...
^ LEGO doesn't like Europe, or what? No freebies in September, Elves Workshop since 15th, while in USA since 1st OCtober, etc., etc.
And now in USA they have 40079 with 10220. D'oh, I hate them.
Waiting for double points and the holiday set as well! I thought that it would start on October 1st but well, I think I order some things on the beginning of October and hold some back for the end + free set. Heard that the Minecraft sets come in November so I use them (+the double points from October) to buy the second holiday set. At least that is my plan.
Will definitely wait for double VIP points and the Elves' workshop as well. This is the best deal for me. Can't really figure out why they wouldn't release the corresponding freebe and Santa's workshop together...
I'll buy one this near the xmas holidays.. Love to build these winter sets at that time of the year :)
Absolutely waiting to get the promo as well! Do we know what the second promo set will be?
^ Winter skating scene
^ Sweet, thanks!
Strange thing is - UK limit is 1 per customer - in the US store its 2? not that I need more than 1 - but strange discrepancy
^ As I said few posts earlier - LEGO doesn't like Europe
I was hedging my bets with the MH Haunted House, waiting for double VIP points- but lo! It has finally sold out! From double pts to scrambling on eBay!
For me, there is good news and bad news.
Good news: Santa's Workshop is available to VIPs! :-)
Bad news: I am NOT a VIP! :-(
Oh, well...
^ It's quite easy to become VIP at LEGO.com. Signum temporis.
There is no reason not to be, it's free and easy to sign up. I guess you probably need to be 18 to do so though.
@Huw: I'm under 18. :-(
(You do have to be 18...)
I can't wait to see pictures of the Skating scene.
I want both, but I need to decide which one I want more so I can bulk up orders at that time. Oh well. First world problems.
So have I got this right? In the UK, the workshop promo is only available when you purchase anything over £50 between Oct 15th and 31st, but double VIP points is on anything throughout October. So how do we get the skating scene promo?
^ Correct. The second model will be later, probably over the Black Friday weekend at the end of November.
NBJ2002 - If you're able to get to a LEGO Store you should be eligible to join the VIP program. The requirement to be 18 is to do with online ordering not being a VIP. I imagine something to do with the legal age to create a binding contract at a distance as you can get a bank account with a card from pretty close to the cradle upwards these days!
I was wondering how go find the UK October calender?
I think I will try to get the Elves workshop when I buy LEGO Star Wars sets in October.
