By in United States,

I had this one when I was young. Tore apart the figs to make my own custom aliens pretty often

By in New Zealand,

Quite a good and accurate build for 2009. With great minifigs too.

Thank you Adam Savage for the original

What the heck does he have to do with this?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I have so many Nute Gunray minifig parts from bins and bags of parts, but nowhere near the number of sets in which he appeared. Was there some kind of...uh...blockade...on the use of him back then?

I'm guessing he built the set piece for the shuttle in the movie because he did work on the Prequel Star Wars movies.

By in United States,

I remember buying a lot of Star Wars sets in 2009, (including multiple copies of this one) in hopes of finding a chrome black Vader. I never did find any and ended up getting one by other means.

By in Turkey,

I don't know when it happened but for some time now I look at sets and try to figure out how I can alter them, or use them in some other way. With this one, I'd reverse the orientation of the shuttle making the front end the back end. This way the Nute would have ample space to travel. I know it wouldn't match with the movie vehicle but that's how I feel like.

By in United States,

One of my favorite sets.

By in United States,

One of the few sets to give us a Senator who isn't Padme or a later Rebellion leader. We're overdue for a Riyo Chuchi.

Hmmm. I have a bunch of Onacondas. Maybe we have the reciprocal bulk part collections?

By in United Kingdom,

For all that nautical terminology gets used for space ships, this is one of the few where the silhouette would have struck me as a boat first. Something about that big fin seeming like a sail I suspect

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I always thought it was a bit too expensive, so i never got it. So i missed out on Nute :-(
They should make a bad guy battle pack with Nute, Watt Tambor and more of those crooks of the separatists council

By in Germany,

The golden age of LSW was when they had a lot of models to choose from. Today that's so totally not the case.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still have this on display all these years.
Very nice compact shuttle.
Still dig the slidding doors ala' star trek style mechanism.
Very cool looking set too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I bought this set kind of purely for the minifigs. Do I do anything with them? I may have used them once or twice. Not a waste, but it doesn't do much in my collection. Still, it's pretty cool to see a ship like this made given that it was in the Prequels (just in tan), and how much it was featured in Clone Wars.
The modified version to create The Phantom II from Rebels is also nice to see, but I'll say it's due for a proper remake, or at least the stretch version from the Citadel Arc. You hear that LEGO? I just came up with an excuse for you to make a set that could include Fives that would have been relevant to the set he was in! Ridiculous decision...

By in Australia,

The sliding doors are brilliant, and it's a nicely sized set.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I wasn't a big fan of the early Clone Wars sets (ugly minifigures and bulky builds), but this was a fairly decent model for its size. Five minifigures is also a very good number, even if three of them are Battle Droids.

I always thought this set came out in 2010 for some reason. Maybe because it was always in the 2010 catalogs.

By in Australia,

Got this, well most of it, in a the first bulk lot I purchased. It was my gateway to using this site, Bricklink and Rebrickable to piece back together sets from bulk. Sadly, no minifigs.

By in Netherlands,

Got this along with Count Dooku's Solar Sailer on holiday in Canada in 2009. How time flies.

This is a very nice, small set.

But, 7752 is truly an incredible set from the Golden Age.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really wish we'd get another Sheathipede Shuttle at some point.
And no, 75357 doesn't count.

I’d rather have the ET senators, but that’s not likely to happen unless Disney is allowed to hoover up Universal Pictures at some point.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really great set for its time 5 minifigures for only $30 was great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

You gotta keep 'em separated.

The subject material is very nice, but honestly I prefer the Separatist Shuttle because the Solar Sailer unfortunately lacks any form of sail. Granted, it is difficult to do, but it could've had something.

I’d love a redo with sails!

I guess you don't think 75170 counts, either, then.

This was one of the first sets I had when I began collecting. Nostalgic

You could see how many of 71258 are going on the second hand market

Gravatar
By in United States,

I used to want this as a kid but never for it, when I finally watched the clone wars for the first time in 2020, I remembered this set and I wanted it as a display model, and only about two months ago I got around to buying it. Really cool and nostalgic set

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are the kind of sets I want designer insight on. Not a poly bag of a tree

Nathan's insight on that polybag was pretty awesome, though.

I think I have this set mixed through 4 giant boxes of loose bricks.

A redo is long overdue. This ship was a focal part of both the series and movie.

For the time, I think they did a great job at capturing its elegant look and function with play feature storage of the speeder as well.

This shuttle was also very good, of course. Superior in many ways to its successors 75170, 75357.

There's no way Disney could ever purchase Universal, at least not legally since that would absolutely become a Monopoly what with all their properties, not to mention other entertainment ventures like theme parks (and Universal is better than Disney at that, too). No, while I'm against monopolies and Disney taking hold of all my favorite things, after Sony gets it together to finish up the trilogy of Spider-Verse movies, I don't think anyone would be too upset if Disney bought them just to spare us from their bad movies. Everything is all made by committee these days though, it's really hurting a lot of entertainment, but even Disney is still better than what Sony keeps cooking up.

@MCLegoboy:
Disney already owns about 40% of Hollywood. My jaw still hurts from when the FTC said, "Eh, go ahead and buy Fox, but you do need to sell off one sports network."

Funny how a set can be nostalgic when you didn't get it until years after its release. I feel that wayway about 40290, despite not getting it until a What's Hot this Week article in December of last year reminded me that existed and never having owned any of the sets it homaged. Granted, I lusted after 6399 and did get 10497...
