Posted by Huwbot,![STAP](https://brickset.com/https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/30058-1.jpg?110301 loading="lazy")
Today's random set is 30058 STAP, released during 2012. It's one of 38 Star Wars sets produced that year. It contains 24 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 2,118 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $19.30, or eBay.

The best Lego STAP ever, IMO although I own 75372 and the STAP in that set provides competition. And this is a great army builder too!
STAP! In the name of loooooove...
I always hated those flag elements being used on the STAP. It looks way to wide. With that said, I think those winglets are wider on the TCW version. So it's accurate, from a certain point or view, to the source material.

They look pretty wide in live action too, but they're thin. So I think that is part of the thing at play, in live action they look smaller since they're not as thick; but LEGO has part size limitations that make them look more clunky. I do agree, they don't work great in LEGO form compared to the rest of the build which is near perfect.
I'm not sure why so many people seem to like the shorter floating pole on the new STAP, imo this longer 1x8 piece was perfect to give it some proper verticality
Kind of looks like the right engine thruster thingy there is blasting out those flames. This droid souped his up, man.
Is this a call for help from Huwbot?

I really liked the one from 75366, with several modifications. I was able to get it looking very similar to the Ep1 STAP...excluding the fact that I made it in Santa colors.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single stap…

Darn it, you beat me to it. So I will just say: Don't STAP me now...
The only thing to cure a stap infection is more cowbell.

STAP!
Hammer time!
In the mobile game SWGOH, the STAP unit was just announced, how fitting
Also I love STAPS in general
Not bad for a SW polybag!

“Luke, you’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.“
Shopping for a new ride?
Thinking about a new speeder-bike, or a swoop?
Take a look at the STAP!
It does everything the bikes do,
BUT
It's harder to stop a STAP!
Hop on a STAP if you hate sand, and you'll hate sand even more!
STAP, your back problems have just begun!
This was one of the better polybags back in the day. You get both a minifigure-scale model and a minifigure.

STAP the count!

fill my cup, put some lego in it-
Remake of the first ever Lego Star Wars vehicle I got, from 7121 Naboo Swamp. At the time I had no clue what a STAP was or what it was supposed to look like, not having seen any of the Star Wars movies and only being enticed by that set because I thought the minifigures looked cool after seeing them in Lego Adventures magazine's feature on the Episode I line.
Because of that, while sure this one is probably better in every respect, I'd still go with the classic ones: they were the first time I saw the vehicle design, so they stuck with me. It's honestly amazing how those first one still look fairly accurate for the day, despite most curved slope pieces not even existing in Lego back in '99.
And yet for all the changes between these designs, two things from the original remain the same here. The use of megaphone pieces for the engines. And the battle droid (except for the exclusion of backpack plate), which has got to be one of the longest-lived minifigure designs at this point since more or less every other licensed minifigure that's been around that long has undergone one - or several - redesigns since then.

...I knew what I meant to type xD;;; I usually check my links right after making a post, but got distracted and didn't do that this time; edited the post now. Thanks for catching that!

Seagulls STAP it now!
Y’all gotta STAP with these puns
I miss the days when Star Wars had minifig polybag for sale, especially these versatile builds like the clone walker and scout speeder. Of course, they would be completely bought out by army builders and scalpers now, but they were nice little sets for kids.

They don't use cups anymore; they've switched to boxes now.
@ThatBionicleGuy: That's why I've started going to the set entry and copying and pasting the set number.

That didn't stop my local lego store from just using generic plastic cups lol
Oh, @EarthGirl83: Something I forgot in my previous post: What's your vector, Victor?

I don't think R0-GR ever rode a STAP.
