Reminds me of that time I got a package... from Lego... oh, wait... that is right now... NEW LEGO IS HERE!!

I like how the arrow tells him which way to put packages in.... and which way to drive.

By in Canada,

Two years later, it would be recoloured in 6377, which was was an underrated set. Well, I don't know if it was underrated by us fans back then, as even Lugnet didn't exist, I didn't speak English and I was a kid who would only care about his own opinion of Lego sets. But I thought it was great!

But yeah, back to the actual set of the day: This was one of those nice little low cost sets that really could populate a town more efficiently than yet another police quad (or boat) polybag.

And I'm also waiting for a Lego package...with a plane in it! "Toute est dans toute", comme on dit dans mon boutte!

By in United States,

The early 80's 4-wide vehicles were just so adorable. I've always loved that door piece--my first instance of it was in 722, my very first Lego set.

By in United States,

Just another day in the Legoland Town. Simple, yet effective four-wide vehicles that could be quickly built from memory and played with for hours. Fortunately, my stickers are still in excellent condition after the past 40 years on my set. Those 41 pieces only cost me $3.99, and I still know when and where I bought it. Maybe I need to put 6377 on my wish list.

By in Brazil,

I LOVE THIS SET SO MUCH. Got one last year, it is just too adorable. I also own its "bigger brother" 6651, another nice little set.

By in Turkey,

How basic and lovely little set. I'm sure it brought joy to many of our firends.

Or it just indicates that they launch your package over the fence by ballista.

Bit small don't you think? but he's smiling so it must be all fine and dandy!

There are quite a few options available here: 60413, 41752, 77012, 76947, 60367 or 10318 - I'm sure a few more are still available.

Ah, good old Box-o-freight, as my brother and I named the company. Always loved this one, may have to dig it out again.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Aww, it's so cute!

It almost makes me forgive the driver for delivering a package left in front of my door since the afternoon again despite me not being home (how did he even get in the building?)

In other, unrelated news: package pick up points are great.

By in Canada,

That space piece with the stripes makes an excellent grille. Bravo.

By in Poland,

I always liked cargo and postal sets in Lego Town and Lego City. This probably has to do with having played a lot of Lego Loco as a kid.

Gravatar
By in Jersey,

Great little set, I can’t believe it’s now over FORTY years since release. Only slightly more parts than a present day Polybag but a decent selection, including TWO hinged roof panels!

Unfortunately the UK range missed out on the larger cargo sets, so in my layout this one was restricted to meeting 4015 at the harbour.

When my kids were younger I used to play a game of pretending to sleep so my kids would "wake me," with exaggerated, fake snoring and all that.

One day, one of them got the idea to say "Dad wake up, there's a LEGO package at the door!"

Got me to laugh and lose the game every time since.

By in United Kingdom,

Looking at that arrow, clearly all deliveries go straight to the driver

By in Poland,

Beautiful 80s set. My nostalgia glasses got a bit cloudy from looking at this.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wouldn't be born for another 11 years, but I'm still waiting for my order to this day!

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

My very first set back in 1984... I was 6!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Simple, but that's where it's charm is. It's still already a great imprvement upon the cars and trucks from 1978 Town I think.

Actually it's a bit plain and could really benefit from something to put inside, but the hinged doors added a lot in playability.

I somehow found this a yard sale together with a few other small vehicles from that time in almost new condition in 2008. Those stickers really hold up well!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks kinda cute! You know what's not cute though? The $150 aftermarket price!

Gravatar
By in Kenya,

My very first set! He's delivered a lot of packages for me over the years - now his arms are so loose he couldn't hold a box if he tried.

I can beat that. I wanted to make sure I got 75827 before it retired, so I called the local store and asked if they could hold one for me. They were sold out, and not expecting any further shipments. Fortunately, they did still have them online, and I was able to order one during Black Friday deals. Then one day I got up and was about to head to work, and my front door wouldn’t open. They had delivered it the previous evening, after I got home from work, but I got no delivery notification! It sat out all night, and thankfully it hadn’t been raining, because the box and all paper components would have turned to mush by the time I found it.

By in United Kingdom,

There does not seem to be any parcels, unless you count the 1x2 black brick? Surely a few 2x2 yellow square bricks with a tile on top as illustrated on the van side would not be too much to ask?

Gravatar
By in United States,

It would be cool if I went back to time to get this set

By in Norway,

Lucky me, I have this NISB in mint condition <3

Nice! I need that ship.

I received 21342, 40631, 40611, and a bunch of pieces including a school of Great White Sharks."

I've got a PaB order that hasn't shipped yet (because it was a non-Bestseller order) that has a Killer Whale in it on the way.

6377 was an underrated set. I believe it was out the same time as the ever larger (and more expensive) 6391 Cargo Center, so for those whose parents could not afford that amazing set, you got a lot for less cost with 6377 and it had a PLANE too along with the heavy duty front door and sliding door. I guess that also helps when it does not have base plates whereas the Cargo Center had two.

As for 6624 I had it and loved it too, but the change of the color scheme confused me at the time as they had the same logon but different color scheme, cannot recall if I considered them rivals or not back then.

@TheOtherMike:
I ordered an orca in late November, and finally got that order a few weeks ago. I did the obligatory TLBM "I'm a whale!" post to my club's Discord.

Definitely a funny, smart kid. Good dads teaching smart comedy- that's what truly makes this world a better place.

Watch out for the killer whales. I finally got my pod of four. Two of them have black marks on the white. One has white discoloration on the black. I'm not sure what to do about it.

I just got off Lego's 'don't send him any more replacement bricks List', and I'm not keen to get back on it. But, that is a lot of money for poor parts.

Orca have unique shading patterns that allow researchers to identify specific individuals, so you could just do nothing and consider that your pod are all distinct. Or you could use a heat source to make two of the dorsal fins droop to the left or right and call them MOCs of Port and Starboard, the two most notorious orca in the world.

Truly. That's funny.

Mine are definitely all individual.
