Confusing box art but, it's still a good Flags, Signs and Trees battlepack. You know what else is good? my new profile picture :)

I still think Indiana Jones is better though not as funny :)

Yes, "Jango Fett the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy" but wouldn't be a competition to Indiana Jones, Who would whip that blaster of of his hand and run him over like he does with most villains!"

By in Canada,

I had this set, all flags are broken, i think a few traffic signs survived.
In fact I was just going through my old Lego box yesterday, and threw out a few old broken pieces from this set in the garbage.

Jango Fett doesn’t have to rely on his blasters though. He has a flame thrower, jet pack m, wrist rocket, a few other rockets, a grappling hook, and several dozen different types of weapons and gadgets hidden in his suit.

Yeah i suppose BUT, he is a villain and villains always lose, eventually.

Plus, Jango currently lacks the most important weapon of all--a head

I was taking about pre Geonosis Jango Fett, but post Geonosis Jango is missing his head and there’s a slight chance that that may be important.

He can't see out of his helmet anyway as Temuera Morrison said ;-D

By in Canada,

I thought for sure I had this set because I see the flag stickers in the window there. Turns out I have its smaller cousin 939 instead which, though it has a longer name, has fewer pieces…

I mean, you get hit with one traveling at a high rate of speed, you’re definitely going to notice it. You see your dad’s roll past on the ground, that’ll probably get your attention, too.

My thoughts exactly when looking at this set. Flags, signs, arials, hinges and trailer connectors from this era had a short half life.

Only in fiction.

Hasn't this been RSotD before? Oh wait, that was 6319. No, it was 6306. No, it's too old to be RSotD at all. I'm so confused...

By in United States,

I've looked into this set, and there are 6 flags, all needing stickers to determine representation, and you have the options of having:
Austria
Germany
Italy
The Netherlands
Switzerland
and the United Kingdom
And a second sheet containing:
Denmark
Finland
Iceland
Norway
Sweden
and a LEGO Flag
Quite the impressive lineup, but then from the image provided on BrickLink, France and Japan are shown on some kind of box art that declares they are for 940, but it's really for set 939, and 939 swaps out that second lineup for:
Belgium
France
Japan
Portugal
The United States
and a LEGO Flag
But wait, we're not done! There's an additional sheet for that copy that also includes:
Australia
and Ireland
So I guess you need both 939 and 940 to have a good array.
There are a few other sets that include flags, most of which are not countries but rather brands, organizations, or fictional things within LEGO, but Canada is represented in 357-1 and 575-2 and then in my research I found that there are a few wavy flags that include prints of most of the countries listed, and an outdated Portugal without the seal between the red and green, and a flag for Faroe, which I'd never heard of and assumed no longer existed, but it's a a group of islands that are the territory of Denmark. Interesting that it never appeared as a sticker for the straight rectangle flags, and from the looks of it, never even really existed since there's no known appearance on BrickLink aside from the image of it.
Flags... who knew they would be so interesting?

Sheldon Cooper knows how interesting flags are!

By in Netherlands,

Ah yes, the government accessory pack: plant trees, errect traffic signs... jubjugate other countries under your flag...

To plant trees and errect more traffic signs of course. Why else?

Personally I'm betting on the Lego flag. In the future all of the world will be LEGOLAND I tell you!

@MCLegoboy interesting! Old sets like these often have trivia like that burried by the sands of time, so it's nice to know!

By in Germany,

Nowadays this set would have the Big Bang Theory license and be officially called Fun with Flags.

I inherited a bunch of my Dad's/Uncle's Lego, which included quite a few flags/signs like these. Confusing to me, though, is that I had a Canada one (Before I presumably lost it in the woods after mounting it on a RC Trial Truck), even though I don't think either of those sets you mentioned were in the collection. My guess would be that there was some regional variant of one of the flag packs that included Canada, but never made it into these databases. It's kind of hard to know this many decades later!

Flags are indeed quite interesting with the caveat that you only want to hear one tidbit of interesting fact per month (and the description of said fact cannot last longer than 5 minutes)

That's the joke.

" 6306 is not too old for RSOTD."
I meant that 940 is too old, what with being a Vintage Set and all.
