Wow, I definitely can't see the ghost hiding, i mean it's totally not GLOWING.

By in Australia,

A fun little set. That Wolfpack soldier is cool. I miss the old ghosts, especially with the glow in the dark elements. I'd have preferred this as a GWP than Majiesto's Hut With Incomplete Walls.

Wolfpack: What are you doing?

Ghost: Shhh, I'm hiding

Wolfpack: Er- you know you're glowing, right?

Ghost: Aw, thanks

Wolfpack: No, rea- You know what, have fun.

Ghost: Thanks, now shh.

The concept of a small set with a hideout for the ghost had to be pretty popular, they did it already twice before this one, both of them in Black Knights theme: 6034 Black Monarch's Ghost from 1990 and 1888 Black Knights Guardshack. If I should rate them, 6034 is the best, followed by 1596, and the third place goes to 1888 (not a fan of the building design)

By in Germany,

This was part of a 3 set value pack and never sold separately as far as I know.

Wolf Person, classic ghost and a LURP - quite nice selection for such a small set^^ Especially since it's one of the few Castle sets that depict something else than castles/walls, carts or siege machinery.

Oddly though it's also one the only three Wolf People sets ever released. The minifig is a little bit strange as well, since his his cape does not match up with hid cowl unlike the versions of him that appeared in other sets (the red cape was usually paired with the brown cowl, as they seemingly didn't want to produce the brown cape anymore in 1992).

I'm actually quite confused as to who the leader of the Wolf People is - set 6075 has two of the brown cowl ones and one black cowl one, which hints heavily at this guy being the leader and the brown cowl ones the generic robbers. However, concept artwork from 1992 clearly depicts the leader as having a moustache (and no eye-patch), black sleeved tunic and a lighter colored hood, matching the other character.

Anyways the leader is called 'The Wolf' (concept) 'The Big Wolf' (audio drama).
The ghost might be Shamrock (the ghost of the Royal King's cousin) or perhaps just a generic ghost that haunts Tarenta's marshlands.

It's a hide OUT not a hide IN.

The ghost is on a sliding plate (controlled via the black 1x2 plate with bar arm up) so it can be pulled further behind the small tree (though it is still somewhat visible even fully retracted). I assume this was a play feature that let you slide the ghost into full view to spook minifigs.

The grammar is specious in a different aspect. Using an adjective to describe this suggests that it is spooky. It's not spooky. It's not a suggestion. The spook is right there! It should be 'The Ghost's Hideout.

Always a fan of both little Castle ghost sets *and* those rascals in the Wolf Pack.

It was interesting that they never used the ghost figure, to my knowledge, in any old-school Pirate sets. Ghost pirates are a fairly known concept, but in Lego world it was only ever the poor peasants getting boo’d.

By in United Kingdom,

Hideout implies our spectral buddy there is on the run from the law! It’s their good fortune then that they’re being stumbled upon by a fellow outlaw, some Wolfpack nogoodnik

By in Turkey,

This may look rough for younger fans but I'm used to this design approach, and even like it, dare I say.

By in Netherlands,

Aw dang, this was such a good source for massing ghosts, at that price. And bonus: Wolfpack Guys.

Nowadays you need to spend a fortune to get your house even a tiny bit haunted - and as a result, the Wolfpack Guys will no longer be interested in loitering near your premises. Boo!

"Boo!"? Wh-who said that?!

By in Germany,

Too bad, that I entered my dark ages with The Black Monarchs Ghost, two years before this came out. No Wolfpack for me either... Only some Dragon Knights made their way into my classic collection.

Screw Black Falcons and Dragon Knights. Give us Wolfpack Renegades, LEGO!

This is one of two sets I know I got just for the classic ghost. Speaking of which:

@myth:
I remember showing 6034 to my young cousins at some sort of family event (possibly a reunion). I wouldn't say it's really the same format, though, since the ghost is hanging out inside what appears to be the crypt where his body is interred. I mean it's the most likely place people would expect to encounter a ghost. Except in Manila, where the poorest of the poor actually live in the cemetery, sometimes even being paid caretakers for the mausoleums they inhabit. When you pretty much live there 24/7, only leaving when you have to pack up all of your worldly belongings so the family can come visit their loved ones' remains, you probably get over the idea that all cemeteries are haunted pretty quickly.

@StyleCounselor:
Or it's the Wolfpack guy who's hiding out in this place that's clearly haunted. Or rigged to make others think so.

@Ridgeheart:
During the Monster Fighters run, there was also 30201, which in the US was exclusive to the Halloween seasonal section of Target (like anyone in their right mind was going to buy them to give out to trick-or-treaters). I got at least five copies of that just for the ghosts and the ball-and-chain (which I was very disappointed to find wasn't actually the new element that came two years later).

MF is, by far, my favourite Lego-theme. I was very late to that party, but I made it a priority to complete that line and get all tangentially related minifigs. 10228 is currently filled to capacity with B-horror monsters from all lines, past and future.

That polybag is very, very good. The ghost is exceptionally glowy, and holds a far stronger light-charge over similar ghosts. As a result it's almost prohibitively expensive, but also, worth it.

I always considered 6034 to be some kind of guard tower on an approach to the castle, not a crypt. The ghost being in the service of the mounted knight. So the same format for me :-)

By in United States,

It’s somewhat amusing to me that I saw Parasite for the first time last night and than this becomes RSOD today.

By in United States,

@myth:
There are no windows anywhere on the structure. There's no guard. The ghost goes inside. And the set is named after the ghost. I never once questioned that this was supposed to be a mausoleum.

That would even have made an interesting concept for an entire sub-theme. Apparently they ran out of ideas for Pirates in 1997, which probably played a larger part in the cancellation of the Theme in 1998.

It would even have fit perfectly into 1997's already rather 'spooky' tone with vampires, aliens and time-travelling ghosts.

I didn't link the undead pirates from PotC, since it's old-school stuff you want - but happy days, have some undead that might just suit your various needs:
