I Need New and Exciting Fish Recipes

ON THIS WEEK’S episode of Dinner SOS, food director and host Chris Morocco is joined by food editor Shilpa Uskokovic to help callers Brian and Claire get out of their boring fish recipe rut.

Brian and Claire are recent newlyweds. They love to cook and salmon is in constant rotation. Too constant. Fish fatigue has set in and they are desperate for some new ideas to bring to their salmon game. Chris and Shilpa step in to offer some new and exciting ways to cook salmon, as well as other favorite fish recipes to add to their arsenal.

On the salmon front, Chris offers his own recipe for Sushi Rice With Miso-Caramel Glazed Salmon. Shilpa offers two: her recipe for Crackly-Chewy Rice Paper Salmon Rolls, which were inspired by her TikTok “For You Page,” and an unexpected riff on a traditional niçoise, Hot-Smoked Salmon Noodle Salad.

And while Brian and Claire do declare that salmon has always been their number one, Chris and Shilpa offer two very convincing cases for why cod, or any other similar flaky whitefish, could change that: Brothy Mustard-Coconut Fish and Cod With Scallion Sesame Butter. Listen now to hear which fish recipe swims faster than the rest and whether Claire finally achieves the crispy fish skin she’s been dreaming of.
