Bahrain Steel's holds annual Townhall Meeting We're pleased to have hosted our annual town hall meeting on Sunday, April 28, 2024! At Bahrain Steel, we believe in open communication and transparency. Our town hall meetings provide a platform to update our employees on our financial performance and goals for the new year. Bahrain Steel & APM Terminals Bahrain joined forces in break-through improvement of Port Efficiency for Bahrain Steel port terminal through a maritime simulation study in Ireland. This was done under the auspices of the Port & Maritime Authorities. An intensive maritime study was carried out by experts from all the three organizations. Cutting-edge technology was used to analyze the vessel movements, using real-world scenarios and environmental factors, in a two-year joint study. The study culminated with a simulation exercise in Ireland. Capt. Madan Mathew, Shipping Deputy General Manager at Bahrain Steel, remarked that the study has helped Bahrain Steel reassess its existing restriction to strategically optimize its port efficiency. It has also helped to pave the way for the Company to accommodate the new age, larger, environmentally friendly Newcastle max vessels. The largest vessels to call on the kingdom of Bahrain. Did you know? The Newcastle Max are large bulk carrier vessels, known for its efficient fuel consumption and advanced cargo handling systems.
