At the beginning of summer, our colleagues from the Sofia office joined the exciting team-building event at St. Sofia Golf & Spa. It was a blast and so much fun!  From the icebreaker activities and the "Mission Possible" team game in the morning to the rewarding ceremony in the afternoon, the day was packed with creativity, connection, and great memories.  Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm and participation. ✨

Last Thursday, June 27, the FT office in Sofia became the meeting ground for a prolific discussion of DEI efforts in Bulgaria. Representatives of 18 companies came together in an event, hosted by the FT HR team, to exchange strategies to: 🏷 overcome resistance to DEI initiatives; 🏷 increase the engagement of majority groups; 🏷 learn from the successes and challenges of both well-established and innovative DEI practices in the Bulgarian context. In this first collaborative effort, some questions found their answers but others just started looking for theirs. Special thanks to the panelists Boyan Zahariev, Milena Stoilova, Stanislava Baltova, Denitsa Sotirova, MSc and Rukasana Bhaijee, as well as the participants in the roundtable discussion. 👏

On June 20, 2024, FT Sofia employees joined the Pride Month celebrations with the screening of a short film, Think Freedom: Freedom is an Action. The film told a real-life story, showing the struggles and successes of LGBTIQ+ activists in Bulgaria, and was followed by a discussion. The event was organised by FT Proud - an ERG (employee resource group) aiming to create a supportive and inclusive environment for the LGBTIQ+ community representatives within the FT. #lifeatFT #FTProud

At the FT, Employee Resource Groups play an integral role in connecting individuals and providing a sense of community and culture in the workplace. Our new video gives insights into our various groups, such as FT Women, FT Proud, FT Embrace, FT Mental Health, FT Families & FT Access.

We are searching for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help us enhance our B2B offerings, setting them apart from our B2C subscriptions. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing features and personalized news recommendations that cater specifically to our subscribers' professional roles, industries, and interests.

The Data and Analytics team, which is a key part of the Product and Technology department, had their regular Team Day. The event featured a couple of guest speakers, among which our own Isabel Berwick, who talked about the key learning in her new book "The Future-Proof Career". FT's CDO Kate Sargent presented FT's Data and AI strategy and her leadership team provided an update on strategic priorities. And everyone enjoyed a session of art and comedy filled team game and some friendly discussions over a pizza and a drink.
