🌟 EBS Team Building at Villa Van Buuren 🌟 Yesterday, part of the EBS team had an inspiring and enriching team-building experience at the beautiful Villa Van Buuren in Uccle. Built in 1928, this Art Deco masterpiece, once the home of banker and art patron David van Buuren, provided the perfect setting for us to reflect on our achievements and plan for the future. This team-building day allowed us to strengthen bonds, enhance communication, and discuss future strategies in a relaxed and inspiring environment. It was a perfect opportunity to reflect on the successful first season of Summits and to set our sights on what’s next in the second half of 2024. Last Wednesday, our Health team hosted the Working high-level luncheon on Medicine Shortages and Supply Chain Resilience 🔄 🎯 Together with DG HERA's Laurent Muschel and DG COMP's Lluís Saurí, we explored key topics set to shape the healthcare agenda in the upcoming legislative cycle. Our discussions focused on supply chain resilience in the EU, addressing medicine shortages, and enhancing Europe’s strategic autonomy and competitiveness. Some of the key issues highlighted: 👇 🏥 Medicine shortages are not a new phenomenon in the EU, but their increase is striking. 📝 Shortages of critical medicines greatly impact patients, resulting in the discontinuity of care and higher costs for healthcare systems. 🤝 Ongoing collaboration and multi-sectoral approaches are imperative.
