Weinig innovatie in de bouwsector? 🏗️ Verre van! Samen met Buildwise zijn we enorm fier om het Data Connection Center (DCC) voor te stellen. In deze ‘controlekamer’ wordt data afkomstig van verschillende toepassingen en bronnen verzameld en gevisualiseerd. Daarna wordt deze data gebruikt om processen, materialen of verbruiken in kaart te brengen, op te volgen en vervolgens te optimaliseren. Bouwprofessionals kunnen komen kennismaken met de mogelijkheden van data, monitoring en ‘the Internet of Things’ (IoT), en met het samenbrengen en afstemmen van verschillende metingen en gecapteerde data. Ze worden geïnspireerd om zelf te innoveren en aan de slag te gaan met data. Our Monday Metric: 4% This week, our focus is on the contribution of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector to global CO2 emissions, which stands at 4%. What it means: The ICT sector, encompassing everything from data centers to personal devices, contributes 4% of the world's CO2 emissions. This is a significant figure, especially when compared to the aviation industry, which contributes about 2-3%. Despite being less visible, the carbon footprint of our digital activities is substantial and growing. Historic Insight: Did you know that in 1969, the very first message sent over the ARPANET (the precursor to the internet) consumed only a minuscule amount of energy? Fast forward to today, and the exponential growth in data usage and device proliferation has made ICT a major player in global emissions. Our colleagues, Timmy and Farshad, were at #QlikConnect 2024 and experienced the new Qlik AI capabilities firsthand. Here are two highlighted announcements: 👉 𝐐𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 Connecting and handling structured data sources is already a strong suit of Qlik. With Qlik Answers, unstructured data, such as documents, emails, and online materials, can now also be harnessed. This smart assistant will navigate through all this unstructured data and provide contextually relevant and personalised answers. Qlik Answers will be a plug-and-play solution that simplifies deployment and ensures ease of use and quality. 👉 𝐐𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 Qlik acquired Talend in 2023 and has already introduced many new capabilities. The improved Qlik Talend Cloud will be essential in combining advanced data integration and AI-augmented automation to ensure data quality and accelerate AI adoption.
