Yesterday, I had the pleasure to participate at the first “Walk the Talk: our city, our safe space” in the city of #Brussels, organised by Women in CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. We counted with the participation of Tom Moylan from restless.brussels, Sophie Feyder from Heroes for Zero, Karen Hoehn from W100BXL and Bertrand Wert who launched the VoteBrussels. I would like to share with you some key takeaways from the walk on how to make Brussels more inclusive: 🔷 Our city needs to become a symphony of #diversity, #inclusion and #sustainability, playing the soundtrack of modern life. 🔷 Building bridges between the different communities is essential to create an inclusive city. 🔷 Designing a city for children to play and live means creating a city which is accessible and inclusive for everyone. 🔷 Public transportation 🚌 must be affordable and accessible to all, connecting neighbourhoods seamlessly. 🔷 Having more #resilient infrastructure to extreme climate events will help us to deal with the immediate and long-term effects of climate change. Cities should embrace nature and the protection of our #environment 🌳 , a topic which is at the heart of CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency’s activities. Let us work together to transform our cities into liveable places where everyone feels at home, where every voice is heard & where the nature is protected!
