Today, AYAT Education and AYAT Care hosted a roundtable on "Developing a Strategic Roadmap for the Care Economy in Bangladesh." Dr. Dipu Moni, MP, Hon’ble Minister of Social Welfare, graced the roundtable as the Chief Guest, and H.E. Charles Whiteley, European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh, joined as the Special Guest. Distinguished guests from the British High Commission Dhaka, Australian High Commission, ADB, ILO, UN Women, CARE Bangladesh, Swisscontact, The Asia Foundation, Manusher Jonno Foundation, ActionAid Bangladesh, Pathfinder International, civil society organizations, private sector, and academia joined the roundtable and discussed innovative approaches and effective strategies for promoting investment and policy reforms in the care economy. During the discussion, Dr. Dipu Moni urged collaborative efforts for a thriving care economy in Bangladesh, while Ambassador Charles Whiteley emphasized the need for sustainable funding for awareness and capacity development. Nusrat Aman, CEO of AYAT Education, highlighted the crucial role of paid and unpaid caregiving, and the importance of investing in care infrastructure and workforce training.
