Join us as we launch Recreation and Parks Month in Canada at the Banff Recreation Grounds! Come down and enjoy building spring crowns, sipping on Japanese Tea while listening to a story with the Banff Library, meeting other locals and enjoying a BBQ. 

Art & Yoga in the Garden with Mindy
Discover the beauty of practicing yoga and creating a piece of art in the garden. With an abundance of flowers in bloom we’ll have endless inspiration from savouring the smells with mindful movements to intuitively painting our favourite flowers. A Zen experience to celebrate the outdoors for Parks and Recreation Day.

Art in the Park
Enjoy an hour of guided outdoor painting to celebrate Recreation and Parks Month.  Your instructor Mindy will have you using acrylic paints to create a beautiful outdoor masterpiece.  All materials provided.

Family Bear Aware
This hands on program will provide you and your family with the information that will prepare you to travel safely in bear country.  You will learn about the general characteristics and habits of bears, how to use bear spray and how to enjoy exploring our local trails while being bear prepared.

Skateboarding
Come down to the skatepark and learn to use your skateboard for transportation or playing in the park. You will spend the morning with several members of the Banff skateboarding community learning about equipment, how to ride and etiquette in the park.
