Tim Hughes (Nevada)
Tim Hughes is a member of the Nevada State Board of Education, representing District 1. He assumed office on January 1, 2021. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Hughes is running for re-election to the Nevada State Board of Education to represent District 4. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. The primary for this office on June 11, 2024, was canceled.
Biography
Tim Hughes earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Nevada at Reno and master's degrees in science education and school leadership from Johns Hopkins University and California State University at East Bay. Hughes' career experience includes working as a middle school teacher, instructional coach, principal, and regional vice president of a national education nonprofit.[1]
