I am a Conservative Republican dedicated to safeguarding the inalienable rights of Tennessee citizens, the success of Tennessee's children, and the prosperity of Tennessee businesses.

I am also a wife, mother, grandmother and now a candidate determined to protect Tennessee children from the dark and purposeful attacks on their innocence. I am a fierce defender of parental rights and I stand as a witness that it is the parent, that has been given the divine responsibility to teach, protect and love their children.

I also know that when we unburden businesses from unnecessary regulation, reduce or eliminate over inflated bureaucracy and create tax limits, we contribute to greater continued prosperity. Now is not the time to become complacent in our commitments to long term economic security. We have more work to do.

I will work every day to honor my commitment to uphold the US Constitution as well as the Tennessee State Constitution and I will not forget that as a pledged Republican, I have a duty to uphold the principles of the Republican Platform.

  • I pledge to measure and weigh every bill that crosses my desk against the US Constitution and to remember that the role of Government is to protect the individual liberties of every citizen.
  • I pledge to protect our Religious Liberties, Parental Rights, the Unborn, and the Children of our Great State of Tennessee.
  • I pledge to protect our Right to Bear Arms for Self Preservation and to seek SafeGuards to Eliminate Free Market Interference.

I support:
School Choice-no Limits
Pro-Life--In All Cases
Increased Support for Our Law Enforcement
Tax Limits on Personal Property
Eliminating CON and other Boards that Interfere with our Free Market

to name a few...

So many. But, when I think of the one person who's example I would like to follow, it is always going to be Jesus Christ. I didn't always follow him. When I was in my early 20's, I was not living a Godly life. I was selfish and made decisions that brought a lot of pain into my life.

Thankfully however, God didn't give up on me (I never understood why not at the time). But he didn't. Once I experienced his Grace and Mercy, I was so overwhelmed by it and so grateful for it, that I committed to devoting the rest of my days to striving to follow him.

It's never easy, but I want to be more like him. I want to live an honorable life. I want to show him by my actions that I don't take for granted his mercy and his constant love.

Even though I have many many social issues and economic issues that I care deeply about, what is at the root of every issue and every desire to solve a problem, is my desire to please my maker. I can only pray that I will have the courage to honor this commitment throughout the duration of my life.

I am a great listener with a deep desire to understand other's perspectives. I have a deep core belief in conservative principles and understand how to measure those principles against policy, bills and any action.

Danver's Restaurant in Oak Ridge when I was 16. I think perhaps 4-5 months. My dad made me quit because he thought it was interfering with my school work :)

Can't Stop the Feeling--Justin Timerlake

Remorse for bad decisions early in my life.

Infrastructure Improvements without increasing our Tax Debt.

Buying in to the ideology that anyone outside of a parent (who of course is not abusing a child), is better to make decisions on that child's behalf.

Preserving Religious freedom and individual Liberties

Perhaps, but what to me is more important than experience in legislative roles, is one's understanding of individual liberties and why they are vital to a person's, a community's or a state's prosperity.

Yes of course. Like in all relationships, the only time people really do listen to one anther is when they first believe that the other person truly cares about their wellbeing. That's called friendship ,which is the building block of all successful relationships.

Yes. I met a woman who has been fighting cancer and the effects of her cancer for over 13 years. She had a spot on her nose when she was 21 and discovered in was an aggressive form of cancer. Still today, she continues to loose teeth parts, bone, and cartilage in her face and mouth. However, her disability insurance will not cover the constant work she has to have done to her mouth because they label it as "dental work" even though it is all a result of her cancer. Just wrong!

Not good at remembering the punch line. My husband says I should never try to tell a joke. He's right.

Yes, I would think so along with our Governor.

Absolutely. Every relationship and every successful accomplishment usually always includes compromise. However, compromise to me, does not mean bending on founding principles. Sure, sometimes we can and should compromise on creating policy or the path or solution to achieve a desired outcome, but we should never compromise when it places founding principles in jeopardy. Bending for instance on honoring the Constitution to pass a bill, will only disrupt the confidence our citizens have in that very document.

hmmm....I don't know which would be first because they are each very important.
