Jefferson Burton (Republican Party) is a member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 64. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Burton (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 64. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. The Republican primary for this office on June 25, 2024, was canceled.
Biography
Jefferson Burton served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 2012 and reached the rank of major general. Burton earned a B.S. in sociology from the University of the State of New York, an M.A. in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix, and a master's degree in strategic studies from the United States Army War College.[1]
Burton's career experience includes working as a state administrative officer for Bennion Veterans Home with the Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, the commanding general and director of personnel with the U.S. Army/National Guard,[2] and the senior vice president of community development with Zions Bank.[3] He serves on the board of directors for the Sutherland Institute and the Gale Halvorsen Foundation.[2]
