|I believe in the bright future of Nevada and want to be a contributing factor to the growth and legacy of Nevada’s university system. Education has always been a passion of mine. I've been a teacher for nineteen years. As a mother of four children, I am family focused. I serve as a Planning Commissioner in North Las Vegas. My upbringing as a military child has taught me resilience. My Hispanic heritage has helped shape my educational perspective. I would appreciate your vote,
- Affordability o reduce student fees o connect employer education plans with Nevada campuses
- Accessibility o expand workforce and apprenticeship programs o unify dual enrollment programs o create pathways for veterans pursuing graduate degrees
- Sustainability o empower Nevada graduates to become Nevada employed o prioritize educational opportunities to meet evolving market demands
Nevada's university system needs to be robust and ready to assist in creating successful experiences for students coming from many different avenues of life.
1989 fall of the Berlin Wall. I was eight years old. It was personally memorable because we had lived in West Germany until 1988 due to my father's military assignment. I remember watching the joy of families reuniting and hearing the German broadcasters overcome with emotion.
