I'm an involved parent of 2 school aged children and care deeply about public education. I have served as PTA president and also work as a crossing guard. I love being involved in my community and working with teachers, administrators and parents to give our kids a great education.

  • I will be thoughtful and thorough in educating myself about the issues and communicating with teachers and parents to get diverse viewpoints.
  • Schools should be a safe place for teachers and children. Schools should be a place where parents feel welcome and encouraged to interact with teachers and administrators to improve the learning environment for all students, no matter their background.
  • When students, teachers and administrators are supported from all sides our children will thrive and schools will retain educators.

"The Ideal Team Player" by Patrick Lencioni is a great guide book on how to lead a team and work on a team. It's honestly a great source for any interaction for life.

An elected official should be there to serve the citizens needs, not their own agenda. They need to be humble, hungry to learn and be willing to engage and listen to their constituents.

I hope to make JSD a more inclusive place for children of all backgrounds and financial situations. JSD should be a place of love and community for all.

I struggled as a child in elementary school and I want to ensure that each school has staff and resources to provide extra support for students who are behind in their studies.

Utah Parents for Teachers, Jordan Education Association

I will strive to hold public meetings with my district members when there are issues that board will be having to vote on. I would like to hear different view points and what's important to my constituents.

I feel strongly that governments need to be transparent with their finances because it is the taxpayers who are funding them. I will hold our school board accountable to be financially responsible and transparent.
