Watkins (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 67. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. She advanced from the Republican primary on June 25, 2024.
Watkins served in the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 69 from 2009 to 2013. Following the 2012 general election, she left the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party.[1]
Biography
Christine Watkins earned a B.S. in elementary education from Utah State University and an M.Ed. in education administration from the University of Utah. Her career experience includes working as a teacher and elementary school principal.[2]

On November 4, 2008, Watkins won election to the Utah House of Representatives, District 69 defeating opponent Jerry Anderson (R).[8]

The Sutherland Institute Scorecard
The Sutherland Institute, "a conservative public policy think tank" in Utah, releases its Scorecard for Utah State Representatives and Senators once a year. The Score Card gives each legislator a score based on how they voted in the prior legislative term on specific issues which the Sutherland Institute thought were pro-conservative policies.[10]
