Angela Romero (Democratic Party) is a member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 25. She assumed office on January 1, 2023. Her current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Romero (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 25. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. The Democratic primary for this office on June 25, 2024, was canceled.
Romero has served as state House minority leader since January 17, 2023.[1]
Biography
Angela Romero grew up in Tooele, Utah. Romero earned a B.S. in political science in 1998 and an M.P.A. in 2010, both from the University of Utah. Her career experience includes working as a government coordinator, youth and families program coordinator, and community programs manager for the Salt Lake City Corporation.[2] Romero served as the vice chair of the Utah Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Commission, was secretary of the Salt Lake Democratic Party, and joined the board of the Utah Coalition of La Raza and Salt Lake People's Market.[3]
