Alex is a lifelong resident of Utah and couldn’t think of a place to call home. He has always had a deep interest in government and politics as well as an appreciation for the dedication it takes to find bipartisan solutions to complicated issues. The last several years have been increasingly disheartening as more and more politicians embrace divisive rhetoric and political theater instead of putting in the hard work to solve problems for the people they represent. Alex believes there is still hope to bring civility back into politics and work together in tackling issues big and small. Politics doesn’t have to be like this; it is time for a new way.

  • Education - Investing in our children’s education is investing in our future. As the stewards of that collective future, educators deserve competitive pay and better resources. By committing to maintaining consistent communication between himself and teachers, school administrators, PTA, and school board members, Alex will ensure our district’s educational needs are well represented.
  • Electoral Reform - By adopting a more representative voting system, voter choice increases and voters can make their voices heard without feeling like they’re throwing away their votes. Currently, legislators get to pick their voters with virtually no accountability or oversight. Too often, voters feel like they have to choose between the lesser of two evils or that there simply isn’t a candidate who represents their beliefs. Our voting system is the problem.
  • Environmental Stewardship - One of the best parts of Utah is the stunning nature found throughout the state. Alex believes we can do better in preserving and promoting our state’s incredible natural beauty. Investing in cleaning up and maintaining Utah Lake as well as other natural environments across the state will create jobs and secure that beauty for generations to come.

To represent their constituents and advocate for their needs in a just and transparent manner.

I love reading and it is hard for me to pick a favorite book. Some of my favorite series are the Stormlight Archive, the Red Rising Saga, and the Kingkiller Chronicle. I love seeing heroes try their best, get up when they fail, improve themselves, and keep going despite all manner of setbacks.
