Responsibilities

Reporting to the Functional Manager within Project Delivery alongside associated Project Manager you will join an Australia wide team that is based in Perth & Brisbane. Our teams work collaboratively across a diverse range of engineering packages from conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery for local & international developments.

In this role, you will be supporting delivery of engineering. As part of this role, key accountabilities will include:

As part of this role, key tasks and accountabilities will include: -

  • Coordinate activities performed by engineers and designers from one engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications
  • Contributes to and reviews the project proposal and/or consolidated plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Interface between equipment vendor packages and engineering across over all management of packages inc of budget and forecast requirements
  • Coordinate and assures technical excellence of interdisciplinary project deliverables
  • Keeps the Project Sponsor/Customer and other stakeholders informed about project status and issues that may impact customer relations, flagging early signs of schedule or budget slippage in order to agree corrective action’s
  • Develop understanding of relevant engineering and HSES procedures and standards
  • Anticipates and takes pre-emptive action to address potential conflict situations that may impact on project delivery

Qualifications

This opportunity is looking for those who are interested in building their engineering careers in resources sector, ready to take on their next challenge working with global leading large-scale projects & portfolio engineering support for sustaining capital work programs.

You will also have: -

  • Experienced Project Engineer, working with medium to large scale projects within the mineral & metals industry. Ideally across full plat processing packages, not essential.
  • Experienced working within an engineering consultancy, specializing in full process plant design.
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications from a recognised university across Process/mechanical EIC or civil/structural
  • Experienced in the coordination of multi discipline activities to meet project objectives/timelines, whilst being aware of commercial contractual requirements.
  • Passionate about aligning client/project needs in partnership with Wood Project Management/Company procedures.
  • Knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices; following project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution.
  • Ability to build proactive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
