Influence on our musical tastes peak at 13-14 years old. The music industry and brands have a lot to learn, especially how and where these fans want to engage, interact, and create. It's a huge missed opportunity for artists and their teams to lock in fans for life (Taylor Swift being the notable exception). This miss is a big factor why the gaming industry is 800% bigger than the music industry (despite the universal love for music) and why companies playing in the now-hot fandom space are missing the mark.
