Health and safety in the workplace used to mean posters plastered on walls or setting up clear evacuation paths 🚧 We now know there’s more to ensuring worker safety than just the physical – that’s where ‘Total Worker Health’ comes in. Established by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, this approach champions a holistic understanding of the many factors that influence employee safety, health, and well-being. Things like tracking worker fatigue, encouraging healthy living, and facilitating effective communication can all have drastic long-term impacts on staff retention, revenue, and productivity. Does your organization look at health and safety through a holistic lens? Vote below and discuss in the comments.

Empowering hospitality & QSR businesses to thrive. Problem-solver, innovator, and continuous improvement advocate.
I've always taken pride in my ability to develop solutions using what's readily available, it's at the core of my services. It's not about reinventing the wheel but improving what's in front of you first and foremost. That's why I don't take this kind of thing lightly, but anyone who's worked with me in the last 5 years won't be surprised by this. I have partnered with SafetyCulture as a core component of my digital solution toolkit. I'm sure there are former colleagues who recall asking me, "Can we do this in SafetyCulture?" and the answer was inevitably, "Yes." After all, the app is built for Improvement Specialists like me to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement. Here is a small sample of some solutions I have previously engineered using the SafetyCulture tool: 🛠 Operations and Compliance tools: - Schedule daily inspections for food safety checks with custom logic to confirm steps on corrective actions. Track data on late or non-completed checks. - Create a QR code to enable the reporting of any food quality concerns directly to Supply Chain management. - Develop stock receival inspections to capture data for food safety checks, any damaged or missing items, and report to supply chain and finance regarding any credit notes. 👥 HR tools: - Develop engaging onboarding and training e-learning using microlearning principles. - Capture onboarding data like store tours and uniform provision. - Develop recurring training, assessment, and feedback to capture data on content and individual performance. - Template and systemise the interview and trial process for hiring, automating reporting to the HR inbox the following morning. 💲 Financial compliance tools: - Capture data in reports for petty cash, refunds, and bank deposits. - Automate previous day reports to land in the account's inbox each morning at 8 am. - Build reporting to consolidate data from POS, daily cash reports, and cash banking reports, with the actual amounts hitting bank statements. With so many solutions developed using this tool over the last 5 years, I can't wait to hear about new challenges and how I can potentially solve them. I will be recreating some generic versions of the above in the coming weeks and making myself available for free demonstrations. Send me a DM if you want to explore what SafetyCulture might be able to do for your business. #improvementspecialist #continuousimprovement #operationalefficiency
