Last week Manuela Londoño Ferro represented RayGen as a panelist at the ACES 2024 in Sydney, Australia, focusing on Long Duration Energy Storage. The session, led by Julia Souder, CEO of the Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council), featured Christiaan Zuur from Clean Energy Council as the main speaker, along with industry experts Sara Taylor from Hydrostor, Mark Croudace from MGA Thermal and Ava Hanock from Upper Hunter Hydro as panellists. The discussions highlighted the importance of enhancing LDES frameworks, developing electricity market products, securing funding mechanisms, and streamlining permit and planning processes to expedite LDES deployment. These technologies play a crucial role in advancing Australia's and the world's energy transition and decarbonization efforts. RayGen remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to drive technology deployment and accelerate the decarbonization journey.

Last week we were pleased to welcome Mr John Pesutto MP, Member for Hawthorn, together with Boroondara councillors and members of local climate action groups Electrify Boroondara and Lighter Footprints to our East Hawthorn module manufacturing facility. Our next gen PV Ultra modules will be deployed to utility scale solar plus storage projects across the globe. But our low material base, highly automated production process and small footprint manufacturing means we can locate in leafy Hawthorn, accessing a local, skilled workforce.

Thank you to RMIT University for hosting RayGen last night at the Melbourne City Campus. Our Systems Engineering Manager, Liam Fechner, was the guest lecturer to a group of final year students. During the lecture he shared with the students how RayGen creates concentrated solar for power generation, thermal storage systems, how to take energy storage to renewable energy on demand, large scale generation and much more. If you want to know more about RayGen and our technology follow our LinkedIn page. #engineeringstudent #renewableenergy #longdurationstorage #RMIT

During the month of May, RayGen is raising employee awareness of cancer: mainly skin cancer as May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Read this post by Vanessa M. about the Big Tea Party that we are hosting, for our employees, in support of the Cancer Council Australia. #skincancerawareness #cancercouncil
During the month of May, RayGen is focusing on cancer awareness; mainly skin cancer as May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to Hannah Walton from MoleMap Australia & New Zealand for running a Lunch and Learn session recently to educate our employees about skin cancer. We are working with Mole Map to roll out a program of skin checks for our employees. On top of this activity, later this month we are hosting a Big Morning Tea party in aid of the Cancer Council Australia. You don't have to be a RayGen employee to take part in this event - check out their website for local events. Supporting this important charity is hugely important to me and the team at RayGen so please use the link below if you would like to donate.
