Last Tuesday, we had a fantastic July staff lunch filled with Christmas cheer. The event featured an ugly Christmas sweater competition, Christmas trivia, and, of course, a delicious spread of chicken and potatoes. It was heartwarming to see our team come together and revel in the festivities. Congratulations to Nicki Castledine and Kimberly Rigby for taking home the prizes for the sweater comp ❄️ Newcastle Airport is proud to participate in the Mentally Healthy Workplace program run by SafeWork NSW and to offer a variety of initiatives like Xmas in July celebration through our Health and Wellbeing program. 🌟 What an incredible evening at the Hunter Nexus Gala Dinner last night! 🌟 It was fantastic to hear Premier Chris Minns share his vision and insights for the Hunter Region. He emphasised how we can "feel a sense of optimism in the Hunter and Newcastle," highlighting the airport as "a big player in Newcastle with huge and exciting opportunities." Upgrades to the terminal building and runway, enabling international flights and freight facilitation are expected to generate approximately 4,400 jobs and $12.7B in economic activity over the next 20 years.
