Thank you Sandy Roberts for all that you have done for the myeloma community in 2023. More than 22,000 people are living with myeloma and our support services are crucial in helping them live with this blood cancer. Myeloma Australia employs 17 myeloma specialists nurses across the country, supported by a small team of five in the back office. We are able to supply our services through the generosity of our supporters and have been doing so for more than 20 years. We currently we do not attract any government support so even the smallest of donations are welcome. Every dollar counts. If you can support us, we'd greatly appreciate it. Myeloma Australia #myeloma

✨ Myeloma Tax Appeal ✨ 55% of myeloma patients are expected to live at least 5 years from confirmed diagnosis, compared with breast cancer at 92%. Your generous donations will go towards increasing that percentage, and ultimately finding a cure. Every bit counts. Donate here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gvEPE9tK #myeloma

Three years ago, Joe was diagnosed with myeloma after feeling extreme rib pain on a camping trip. Joe has persevered through multiple fractures, a pulmonary embolism and pneumonia, but is determined to rewrite the stereotype of a cancer. He is now an advocate for the disease, and guides both younger and older people who are also navigating their diagnosis. Donate here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gvEPE9tK

We are working hard to raise our profile within Government and for them to understand the critical work we do and the value we bring to not only the myeloma community, but the health system at large. Your support allows us to reach more of the community and to provide the specialist care our myeloma nursing team can provide. #myeloma
