About us

Luerssen Australia is a subsidiary of Lürssen. Lürssen is renowned worldwide for its high quality products as well as innovative technologies within the yacht and naval shipbuilding industries. The family-owned company, headquartered in Bremen, Germany, has been in operation for over 140 years and is now in its fourth generation of family-leadership. The mission of the company, founded in 1875, was to be a leader in quality and performance and this is still the driving force of the company today. It specialises in the design and manufacture of yachts, naval and coastguard vessels and provides extensive after-sales service, including repairs, refits, sustainment and global logistics services. In May 2017, in pursuit of the SEA 1180 contract and regional export opportunities, Lürssen founded a subsidiary company, Luerssen Australia. The company is intended to support Australia’s national sovereign shipbuilding strategy and operates from a new office in the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, Western Australia.
