Fire plans are underway for high-value koala habitat! 🐨🐨 FBA is working with land managers to create fire plans for their properties to help koalas. Uncontrolled wildfires that reach the canopy are a risk for koalas because they live in eucalyptus trees, which burn easily due to their oils. Koalas move slowly and struggle to escape fires quickly. Smoke inhalation, burns, and habitat loss are major threats to their survival during wildfires. 🔥 Our team spotted this cutie watching them on their last fire-planning trip!
