Today, we celebrate 95 years of combined service from four incredible team members at the Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro Power Station.   Ian, Mark, Derick, and Errol have each brought their unique skills and passion to their work, playing a key role in keeping this valuable asset running smoothly.   Their contributions are a big part of our drive to deliver clean energy solutions to help our customers thrive in a net zero future, and beyond just keeping the lights on, their hard work helps us build local supply chains, create job opportunities, and support regional economic development—all while moving towards a more sustainable and decarbonised future.   We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication and expertise these four bring to CleanCo. Their efforts make a real difference, not just for our organisation, but for all of Queensland. Thank you, Ian, Mark, Derick, and Errol — for everything you have done and continue to do!

At CleanCo Queensland, safety and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do and because we are undertaking major maintenance works on the Swanbank E combine-cycle, highly efficient gas-fired power station in August, we decided to partner with Sentis and Theo Venter for a team alignment day. This event was all about bringing us together to ensure a safe and successful outage. Sentis led a half-day session that really got us thinking and working together. This was a chance for us to connect, recognise our strengths, and make sure we are all on the same page. A safe outage is crucial for us, especially as we help Queensland businesses and communities move towards a net-zero future. The session was interactive and eye-opening. We looked at what we're doing well and where we can improve, especially around communication and leadership. These elements are key for us at CleanCo, where we aim to be more than just an energy provider – we want to be partners in our customers' success. A highlight of the day was Theo's talk, “Just Another Day – Making a Convenient Choice.” Theo’s story is incredible – he’s the only person known to have survived 22,000 volts and 1,200 amps through the heart. His message about the importance of safety and the impact of small decisions really hit home for all of us. It was a powerful reminder of why we need to stay vigilant and committed to safety every single day. By the end of the day, there was a real sense of unity and purpose. We’d aligned our strategies and communication, and strengthened our commitment to a safe and successful outage. The teamwork between everyone – including all the supporting third-party businesses – was amazing to see. A big thank you to everyone who made the C5 Team Alignment Day a success. Your dedication and teamwork have set us up for a great outage. Together, we’re ready to deliver with safety and excellence.
