In the fast-evolving cannabis industry, navigating consolidation presents both challenges and unique opportunities. As our CEO, Tom Varga, explains, "It's about ensuring quality and quantity of domestic supply first, and in parallel, looking for expansion opportunities within Australia and internationally that deliver synergy and scale." With Glasshouses 2 and 8 soon coming online, we're gearing up to meet growing demand. Our story isn't just about expansion; it's about building a resilient supply chain and nurturing strong partnerships. We believe that combining high-quality genetics with efficient cultivation practices is key to success. Using Apollo Green's vast genetics library as our hub, we're particularly excited about the possibilities Europe presents as a new market. Navigating consolidation in the cannabis industry can be challenging, especially with high expectations. Merging large companies often proves more complex than integrating smaller startups that can leverage capital more easily. At Biortica Agrimed, our immediate focus is on advancing Glasshouse 2 and Glasshouse 8 over the next three months. Once these projects are on track, we look forward to exploring new opportunities. Europe presents an exciting market for us, while North America continues to support our business through Apollo Green genetics. Our hub-and-spoke model—featuring a central hub for genetics and global cultivation spokes—positions us well for this expansion. We believe in leveraging synergies to create a stronger industry. While the collapse of a Biortica Agrimed shareholder, Fresh Leaf, has caused some delays in our reverse takeover of Bod Science, we are pleased to report that the deal is still very much on track. Despite the challenges, our CEO Tom Varga remains optimistic and confident in our progress towards listing on the ASX. The extraordinary general meeting (EGM) is now expected to take place around September, and we continue to work diligently with our partners to ensure everything moves forward smoothly. Call for a National Steering Committee for Cannabis Regulation Recent amendments to Canada's cannabis regulations underscore the need for Australia to learn from their missteps. Our policies must prioritise patient care and safety while supporting industry growth. In a recent MMJdaily.com article, Tom Varga, CEO of Biortica Agrimed, highlights the importance of forming an industry-wide Steering Committee to unite key stakeholders for balanced and informed legislation. "As I've said before, two things are needed in crafting responsible legislation," said Tom Varga, "Information & Balance. We're seeking to bring cultivators, manufacturers, product providers, regulators and politicians all to the table, all working together."
