Patient Safety Awareness Week is an opportunity to encourage staff, doctors, patients and visitors to learn more about health care safety and inspire action to improve safety in our health care system! Today we celebrated the week with a sausage sizzle. Patient Safety Awareness Week also provides a platform to recognise the work and achievements of our caregivers, led by the Quality and Work Health Safety team. Bethesda were recently awarded the WorkSafe WA Platinum Certificate of Achievement for the sixth consecutive time, and remain the only healthcare organisation in WA to receive the prestigious award. Congratulations to CEO, Dr Neale Fong, on being awarded the prestigious 2023 ACHS Medal at last nights The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Annual Dinner in Sydney. Dr Fong received the award for his distinguished leadership in quality practices, recognising his contribution not just to Bethesda Health Care, but many organisations over the last few decades. Bethesda prides itself on its dedication to patient and staff safety.
